    Depends where.

My University experience was nothing but hardship; no parties, no super drunk collage chicks giving it away like I see in film just piles and piles of work.

Heck the past year I've been going to sleep at like 10pm except for when I was working night shifts at my crappy part time job.

Super glad I finished the course and looking forward to getting my engineering warrant.

My college experience was pretty good, and knowing what i know now could have been even better.

    No real worries or responsibilities.

a: With the exception of possession cases (where quite frankly the law can kiss my ass), it is extremely rare that I know this for certain, especially if the case goes to trial.

b: Hell of a lot easier than innocent people. Stressful as all ****ing hell.

My view is that our rights are only as strong as they are for the least of us. If we don't defend the people we "know" are guilty, who's going to defend you when everyone "knows" you did it?

An example, I had a client a while back who was suspected of murder in a county that still executes at a fair rate. The police did a line up that was deeply flawed that I observed.
Witness had see the shooter through a car window. Shooter putted out a gun and shot another guy. Total time, maybe 10 seconds. 2AM.
The witness had already seen a picture of my client, but not of the other 5.
The skin tones were all wrong (My client was African American and by far the darkest person there).
The other people looked nothing like my client. Facial hair, height and weight differences.

The only good thing is the suspect was also black and that avoids the cross racial issue. (A huge issue)

Did I mention that my client looked ****ing terrified, while the other's were happy because they got a second pudding cup or something for volunteering?

Of course the guy picks out my client right away. However, he says he's the closest, but not the guy because of some distinct scaring. Certain he is not the guy and my client walks.

This was really close. If anything had gone wrong, a slightly less truthful witness, a slightly less good look in 10 seconds at night, a forgetful witness who wants to help, cross-racial issues, etc. (Seriously **** eyewitness ID, do some research.)
This 5 minute procedure decided whether my client would walk or spend the next 2-4 years of his life simply fight a case for his life.
A case where everyone would have "known" he did it. Just because of one little change, a positive eyewitness ID.
We would have fought hard: debunking eyewitness ID, attacking the line up, trying to get the line-up excluded ("getting someone off by a technicality" would have been how that would have played despite the serious flaws), etc.
Maybe we would have won, but we'd probably lose, which is why eyewitness ID is the leading cause of false convictions.

I love doing this. I love defending "guilty" people because society hates them and doesn't believe that they are entitled to the same rights as everyone else. While it sounds arrogant, defense attorney's are the last real defenders of the bulk of the bill of rights (I believe I've cited all of them except the 3rd.)

I did prosecution before. It sucked balls (though less work for the same pay). Putting people in jail for white powder sucks.

Maybe it was the faculty I was in.. who knows.

I do plan on doing an MBA in Holland in 2-3 years time so maybe I will get my fun time.

Definitely Not missing the student life right now; I do not have that constant fear of not making it because its done, finished and I have zero debt so I am pretty pleased.

Also what do you mean by white powder for the prosecution?

I have to work for a staffing agency at a plastics company. All I do is inspect plastic parts all day.

Pretty damn boring and often times the management or engineers make things so stupid for the operators. Even I as a lowly operator can see there are much better ways of doing things on the floor. How do these people get such good careers by not being very smart? They are also too arrogant to listen. Even if I know a much better way of doing something or if I know something they want to do won't work they won't do it. I'm just an operator, dirt to them. I'm not even an employee of their company, just a bum working through the staffing agency. You'd think after standing around and talking about things for half the day "earning" their large paychecks they could actually do things well. I don't know what he does all day, but I have never seen the plant manager actually do something difficult. He's the highest paid guy in the plant and he walks around the slowest with his hands in his pockets looking around, and I never see him actually do something. He just sticks his nose into whatever he wants and sees what people are doing.

It pays pretty badly and the only benefit that comes with the job is this: after a year of working there you get paid holidays. There are no sick days. No paid vacation or unpaid vacation. They all count as an occurrence, and you get only a few of those. It takes a year to get one occurrence back.

There's more, but you get the idea about this place. Unfortunately, there really isn't much else to do around here. It seems impossible to get into IT. There are no entry level positions. I'm just shy of an computer networking associate degree, but as I needed to get a related internship or job in the middle of the recession, I wasn't able to complete the program.

    I know wat you mean...

Btw, if u wanna get a start in IT with no experience, look for a helpdesk position.

Often the company hiring will also train you.... you just need a good personality....and they're always looking for helpdesk operators.

I'm a primary school teacher, teaching music.

I studied biology but end up teaching music. Really enjoy it, not so much work and responsibilities compared to other subjects, and can have fun in class.

I also have a small home business, selling medicinal herb online. I earn more from this business compared to my salary from the school.
