So, I'm in a bit of bind. I need in the next two days to find a quick fix to plug a front panel USB 3.0 box connector into my ASUS M5A97 or get it to function in any possible fashion whether at USB 2.0 or 3.0 speeds or whatever. Any products within 20 miles of my zip code at 19073 are fair game. I recommend perusing http://www.microcenter.com/index.html for the PA store inventory. Any help is greatly apreciated! P.S I know there are several PCI connectors to do just what I want but I can't find any near my location.
My only solution at present is to replace the whole motherboard at my own expense. I am trying to avoid this-any ideas?

He needs internal connector. OP why on earth is it so important to have front USB3 working? Just use the back panel....
If it was for me I would. It's not. It is for a customer and I need to ship it out tomorrow before I go on vacation.
Tell the customer to go buy one, Christ u can get one at any PC store. he prob doesn't have any usb 3 devices anyway.
But if she wants to plug a usb drive into the front of her computer....it won't work. It is unprofessional and bad to give a new computer to a customer that does not work 100%.
It doesn't come with the board therefore it's not your problem. Really you should have sorted that out with the client when they purchased the board. And that's from an IT professional....
I meant unprofessional for me-not the user. She will likely have it next to her at home and not at work or out of sight.
