Yeah EA said that stuff last week, IIRC. I think it shows blatantly how greedy the corporate suits at EA are. They have no ****ing idea how to actually attract customers and retain their loyalty, and they knock one of the most successful sales and customer retention programs of all time.

Btw, did anyone come over some 'dummy guide for fast bf3 levelling' somewhere?

 

Hope you guys can help me because I have a strange issue with BF3 lately. A few weeks ago, I changed my internet connection to a 50Mbps connection (new modem as well). I did some tests and everything is working like it should (full 50Mbps, 12ms latency on pingtest.net). My favorite online games (COD, BF2) are working like it should but BF3 strangely isn't. When I connect to a server with a low ping, maybe the first 5 minutes of gaming, my ping stays at around 15ms and it's all smooth. But suddenly my ping skyrockets to 100ms and hovers around that number. The strange thing is, everything stays smooth. No lag at all! Is this a bug? It's not that it bothers me since everything is smooth and all but I just find it strange that my ping is so high.

I don't seem to recall this when I still had my old internet connection.

 

There's a network smoothing thing in BF3. In the settings. Perhaps that might help?

How about they make and release games that are worthy the 60-75 bucks on release..how about they do that first and then we buy it at release and not when it's on the bargain bunch.

I mean today, 8/10 games are released unfinished and rushed. 6 month later they are what they should have been on release ( still unfinished, bugged and annoying but atleast on an acceptable level ). So by waiting 6 months you get 75% off on a game that is "gold standard" and not alpha standard.

Sometimes 1+1 is really 2, simples.

 

It's EA's way of showing how JELLY they are of Steam, and with **** like this they sure as hell will not win more customers, except maybe make their investors/shareholders feel better...

Also, that guy's mug has greed and bull**** written all over it.

 

Fetch the IP address from battlelog and ping the server using cmd --> ping ip in Windows. A mate of mine has a similar issue with his 50 mbit connection. I'm starting to think it's a bug and it's actually reporting the wrong ping in the scoreboard since everything stays smooth for him too.

I still play Counter Strike: Source, before that I played Soldier of Fortune 2 on a high level, did several Eurocups and Nationscups on clanbase. CSS I've been top 3 in Belgium for years. Before all that as a kid I was hooked on UT99.

Wait wut?! Confused, is there an unofficial plugin that lets you record like recording demos in Counter Strike? Would be badass, no more laggy or choppiness while playing ---> more awesome frags.

 

Premiumfield 3 is best game ever though.. why want to remove all the advertising!!?
