AMD Catalyst 12.6 (8.980.0 May 22) AMD Official BETA

I tried to compare 12.6 BETA with 12.4 WHQL with BF3 on my system here are the results:

Just put these back on, tested those Heaven settings, and no issues at all, runs/looks fine.

 

Well thats it CONFIRMED, its not the powertune, its the actual 12.6 BETA drivers, just bombed out, back on the 18th April 12.5 BETAs.

did you put 12.6 min in the avg section?

 

I think there is something wrong with your results for 12.6, how can your average be lower than your minimum framerate?

 

Yup unfortunately i putted the avg in the mid :c

 

Switched back to 12.4 been getting random freezes on bf3 with 12.6.

 

Why with MSAA in BF3 performance is bad??
Without MSAA performance is very good.

And while ur at it google wiki deferred rendering.

 

Im going to test 12.1 now on BF3

 

Big performance drop in DiRt 3 with these drivers.

12.4 average: 61 FPS

12.6 beta average: 43 FPS

 

I have more fps ~20 than older drivers, but the performance in system and games are worse.

For example Diablo 3 with 12.4beta 70 fps completely playable.
In 12.6 Diablo 3 100 fps but implayable

With MSAA Nvidia cards are decisively better:
AMD cards performance drop: +/- 30% !!
Nvidia cards performance drop: +/- 20%!

2.Uninstall AMD CCC
3.Reboot
4.Clean all AMD Drivers data with Driver Sweeper
5.Reboot
6.Install fresh drivers

sometimes, certain code runs faster on certain cards... lost planet 2 is faster on nv regardless of settings right? metro 2033 is faster on amd, etc

I'll never buy ATI again, it sucks!! I payed 450 USD for HD7870 and in BF3 with everything on High the fps is 30-45...IT SUCKS! Yes, everything High, not Ultra...

CPU - Q6600 3.01GHz
RAM - Muskin 4GB DDR2 1066/5-5-5-15/CR 1T downclocked to 800/5-5-5-18/CR 2T
PSU - Corsair VX550W

This MB doesn't have PCIe 3.0, only 2.0... this could be the problem? Or the RAM?
