Enemy front, Finally another WWII shooter game

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4bmZyTDSWs man its been a long time since there's been a ww2 first person shooter, i think the last one was cod world at war, im not to sure if it will be any good but it looks ok. Personally i much prefer them to all these modern combat shooters.

That game looks so not for me. Misaligned iron sights and yet the guy magically hits the guy under the front sight? The ****?

 

ah yes i forgot about that one, i personally skipped it because i thought it was geared up more for the sneaky Russian clientele, still enemy front looks like it has better graphics.

 

I will be getting it, but if you want the best realistic WW2 multiplayer experience, get Red Orchestra 2. You also have Iron Front: Liberation 1944

so yeah i guess you're basically correct, though you really should try Red Orchestra 2, it's an amazing game

Pretty obvious that it's due to auto-aim because he's playing on an xbox. Presumably the PC version won't have auto aim.

 

Looks rather bad. I too love and miss ww2 shooters, always wanted to try out Red Orchestra games but never got arround playing them.

what graphics engine is it using? it looked ok... hopefully there will be a demo first.

 

battlefield 1943 was US pacific based which never captures the true spirit of WW2, ie fighting the Nazis in France and Germany.

wolfenstein aint even in the same category so instant fail. (may as well be startrek)

red orchestra 2 mmm... well..... good game but again does it have Allied troops ? allied guns ? Sherman's vs panzer's ?

Soviets were Allies.

The western front was a just a side pest for the Germans to decimate their economy. The real WW2 took place on the Easter front where 90% of the German war machine was ground down.

True, not to mention that USSR lost over 20 milion men, far more than any other belligerent. However if it wasn't for the western front WW2 would have lasted a whole lot more.

hey, when's this game supposed to come out anyway? it has *really* peaked my interest!

RO2 is ok, but the graphics are dated. WW2 shooter with the Cry Engine, i'm in. hopefully there's a demo! first....

 

This is false, without American and British air raids the Germans would have had quite a lot of fight left in them. Not to mention the American invasion of the west was far more than just a "side pest". Germany had to divert quite a few divisions to handle it.

And no, I don't subscribe to the theory that America did everything and won the war, because we did not. However, to imply we only did 10% of the damage or did barely anything is absurd.
