It's already released where I live, and I've already seen it yesterday!

I liked it a LOT, but I am a bit worried many will not share my opinion...

Well wow, that was a huge let down.

Never thought i'd say this (as i was so hyped), but alien ressurection was better.

At the end when the Alien came out of the giant alien (from the room size face hugger!) everyone laughed, yes they laughed - it looked so stupid (as did a lot of the film).

 

I totally disagree with you, but as I said earlier, I can understand such reaction.

 

This'll be an amazing addition to Ridley Scott's portfolio and an epic prequel to the Alien movie!

 

As if movies like this haven't been coming out for years. Same crap...

At least Men In Black 3 was freaking awesome!

 

A question for the ones that seen it(please no spoilers), is Prometheus an Alien prequel or not?

 

Sort of, nothing as far as I know says it can't be.

 

With the trailers showing the same ship as the first Aliens and Weyland Industries. I'd say it's a pretty strong possibility that it's the prequel. Or at least some kind of off shoot.

and you see this same "sitting thing" in both alien and prometheus, so I think it's pretty obvious it's in the "Alien" universe

Well, it's not a totally 100% prequel, but if you take every detail into account, it can't be called anything else.

(well, more than 30 years passed since "Alien"... it would be somewhat questionable if the story did not change a bit)

 

It's not a direct prequel, but it's certainly very closely tied to Alien.


It's also an utterly terrible mess of unexplained and nonsensical story elements and unrelatable characters.

 

Watched this last night. Great film. Didn't quite wow me like I expected it to but still very impressive.

 

Going to watch this on wednesday with the wife,looking forward to it,one of my favourite franchises.

 

Did You see it in 3D ? If so was it done well ? I know they filmed it in 3D so should be good.

 

It happens before the events of Alien - but its not a direct prequel, same universe, different story.

Although I think you do find out about the origins of the traveller who does appear in the first Alien movie.

 

Aliens FTW. I thrashed the shiznit out of that, and the only successor I saw was resurrection.
