Looks like you dont need 100% fan speed. But really easy to flash the bios

According to nV, the "fix" for the stuttering won't come until the next driver branch sometime in June....

what u do is export your bios using gpu-z and rename the extension to a bin file. use nibitor to edit the max fan speed.

That issue might not be so easy to fix. It seems to be related to the GPU boost function and that would probably at the very least require a bios update since it isn't controlled by the driver. Or maybe they go the reduction route and the problem will never get fully fixed and instead they just try to make it somewhat less visible.

Getting a few more FPS in benchmarks is more important than smooth gameplay after all.

Nope, it's a problem with v-sync, therefore a driver issue.

Yes, you know everything and everybody else is wrong. Those hardware sites that wrote about the issue and are also pointing to the gpu boost feature as possible cause are wrong as well. Thanks for clearing that up oh all knowing Nvidia defender.

According to nvidia, it is a driver issue.

If true or not, I guess we'll see that in June. The only people who actually know what the cause and the fix of this issue is right now, is nvidia themselves. Saying a bios update is needed makes you the same person you are accusing him of. But if you know it better than them, please enlighten us.

They are a company, their goal, first and foremost, is to make money. When anything might negatively effect sales, companies use what ever damage control strategies are at hand and applicable. The first strategy is usually do deny that there are any issues with whatever product they sell. Should that not work, or work no longer, than comes the next damage control strategy in such cases, make the issue that can no longer be denied seem small and without consequences. "No it's hardly worth noticing, only very few people have it anyway, and it will be fixed very soon".

Next month we'll see. Well, or they use strategy 3, when all else fails, buy as much time as possible.

It is true that the goal of a company is making profit but there is also another important thing most companies always follow. It's called "customer satisfaction". Nvidia, like any company in this economy, cannot make huge mistakes now. Imagine the fix isn't a fix at all and people still experience the issue. You think they'll keep buying nvidia products? I don't know about you but I won't. Even though I don't notice this issue when I use the 300.83 drivers that came with my card.

Also, they never denied it. They even admit the issue is there and they already stated that a fix is coming. There is no turning back for them now. All you can do now is wait and have some confidence in their driver team. They said next month so I suggest to wait with the b*tching until the fix is there.
