yeah the 670 is the price performance king slightly behind a $100 more expensive 680 and faster than a more expensive 7970. price adjustment time again for amd me thinks.

I guess these will also suffer from the massive stuttering problem the 680 does, seen as they are the same cards.

There is an issue with the driver polling in certain games when Vsync is enabled. They already have been able to replicate it and it will be fixed in a future driver.

It definitely isn't massive. Rich Guy just likes to blow things out of proportion.

^I was reading a review earlier that said adaptive vsync could remedy some of the stuttering....

Where's the "massive" link. No doubt nvidia is working on the problem and will be fixed with a new driver. You have to realize the amd series has been out 10 weeks longer than Kepler rich Guy, there bound to be some issues this early in the game. Massive nah

If that means exaggerating about a problem beacause you hate nvidia then yes. Geez

Its pretty funny how nearly every 680 owners views here and other forums I visit have been overwhelmingly positive with no mention of the stutter. It does seem like there is a driver problem affecting a few, but obviously not enough that we would have heard more about it here.

I have a feeling more AMD owners know about this than Nvidia guys, lol.

Something was mentioned about it in Hilberts 670 review, although I don't know if or why it is specifically related to the 670/680 cards...

I don't hate Nvidia, what i do hate though, is when someone dares to mention a Nvidia problem, you and all the other usuals are straight there playing it down, throwing the excuses out etc..., as you just can't accept it, like here, i only linked to one forum thats got a big thread on it, excuse, im exaggerating about the problem as i hate Nvidia, im sorry, but thats utter crap, must try harder, surely you can come up with a better excuse than that :/ , and im also not blind, ive seen your digs at AMD, oh yes ;)

EDIT: Im not the only one whos noticed, this is an actual 680 owner!!!

Second bit in bold, surely you have to agree that it is a massive problem now, if people are actually thinking about swapping them for AMD

EDIT: Anyway, thats enough of this as its OT.

This is about Adaptative V-sync ... basically the thing is to adapt less brutally the framerate of what do a sync on the diplaying polling for keep smoother fps ..

It should work good ( i have not test it personnally ), when you play a game who run between 30-45-85fps, and your monitor have a 60hz

Personally i have never get my fps who drop to 30 hz or 30fps, when using v-sync, the fps goes under 60 ( on a 60hz ) monitor.. but if it is better, im for it. ( at same time, i have rarely get hardware who dont maintain the minimum i want, who is 60fps ( related to the v-sync i use )

The problem who is describe ( and who is known now in all hardware forums ), is when you use simple v-sync... a stutter occur with 680 ( 670 ofc too), something in the driver polling code, it seems, make the screen freeze sometimes ( 1 sec or half a second ) ...

It look like a driver problem .... something goes wrong, so lets Nvidia fix it...

( but maybe it will be interessant to redo the adaptative vs v-sync test then lol ... and as some reviewers are retesting 680 after discover the turbo boost and performance are absolutely not the same on retail card compared of the card Nvidia and AIB press sample have send them first... who know, we will maybe get some surprise. )

So what's the massive problem that affects all 680/670? I never denied there was a driver problem for some owners. The 7000 series has a ten week headstart vs the 600 series. Why highlight a sentence saying 1 680 owner is going amd. Who cares?

As i said, playing it down, and what a surprise, a dig at AMD, im not stupid, i know what your really saying there, and its another bad excuse, just forget about it, let the thread get back on topic :)

2x of these in SLi are awesome, showing great scaling.

The latest driver 301.34 is terrible for the 690,it causes PC to hang at shutdown and drops fps down to 5-10 fps, also makes desktop laggy to move around....avoid if you have a 690 and use the *better for now* 301.33.

well yeah... hardware.fr found out there is 1.2% difference between their review card and the one bought in shop :)

(disregarding Anno 2070 because 5% better performance with only 2% overclock was obviously a fluke)
