If the 690 is better than GTX 580 SLI, then I will buy it. It will be more quiet and a little cooler I hope.

Can anyone tell me if the 690 will have the same clocks as the 680? Or will they downgrade like they did with the 590?

    It will drop.

The GTX 680 4GB were 725 Euros at the start, now they go for 550 Euro.

It's just a matter of time.

yea but if gtx 680 beat 7990...the price are going change not that much but the lowest i can think is 800 OR 750$ after 3 months of launch because nvidia is all about profit as you know

We live in a time of a 3d chip chaos all because AMD released a chip that on paper looks awesome but in reality was nothing of that and tagged it with a steep high price.

Nvidia had to follow with a supposedly Mid range card that was labeled high end because of AMD bad 7 series chip.

Now as consumers we either pay a high end price for an impersonator :bang:

I am skipping all of this.................... GK110 where r you

Got to be kidneying, 690 won't be much faster than your 2x 580's.

Around 25% faster at the slightly reduced clocks.

Lower boost clocks. GTX690 will have default boost clocks to 1019 instead of 1058.

good thing about it, clock speeds are off by a hair, I would love to see overclocking capabilities on this card under water.

690, here I come, sorrie 7990, if you would have come sooner, I would of.

Not going to make much of a real difference to the average user, like any person who pays $1k for a GPU is going to use the default clocks.

Considering that is stock speeds, i would say this the first dual GPU to come nearest to matching two actual cards.

I love how people with a 680 are all butthurt over this. Stop it. You're not deprived. In fact, you are very lucky.
