It's a Sapphire card. Beta 14 is the only one that works so far but it stops working tomorrow.

If I try to set any overclock etc. my computer just freezes, only reset helps.

    It's not.
2.2.0 Final seems to have been released today. Before that, we should have been using using beta 15 ;) (EDIT: I see you knew that)

I took that screenshot using the version that was released today. Beta 15 showed the same behavior, values were at zero.

OK, adding -xcl to the AB shortcut may work (then reboot).

Did you uninstall the previous version before installing the new one?

    Edit-
Check inside the AB folder for a file called atipdlxx.dll, is it there?

I'll try those out now, thanks. I didn't uninstall, but now that I have uninstalled it I'm gonna reinstall. I'll report back in a bit.

e: Didn't help. atipdlxx.dll is there, I added -xcl, rebooted, started Afterburner without -xcl to no avail.

Is Unofficial Overclocking disabled? (check in MSIAfterburner.cfg).

When you uninstall it, don't save the config file when it asks. just uninstall everything, then reinstall it fresh. i think thats where the problems are coming from. With the files Unwinder added for overclocking on the AMD cards, the old settings are not working. So once you install the newest build, just enable unofficial overclocking again.

Tried both with and without unofficial overclocking and with powerplay enabled and disabled, still nothing.

Any final suggestions before I start using the horrible, horrible Asus GPU Tweak? :|

I meant add -xcl with UOC disabled; then close AB and open it again and you should get a message telling you to reboot.

    does that work?

I did do that. It told me to reboot, I rebooted and afterwards removed -xcl from the shortcut. Didn't help.

Under the General tab is Hardware Access in Kernel or User mode?

Default was user mode. I also tried kernel mode to no avail.

Looks like MSI added only custom design 7850 Power Edition model to the database and the rest 7850 are not supported. Try to untick "Enable low-level hardware access interface" in General tab, it will help.

That kind of helps, although I can't monitor or change fan speeds after that. I can see GPU and Memory clock, didn't try to change them but that's it.

Is it possible you'll add the rest of the models later?

fan speed control doesn't depend on it. if it doesn't work now, it won't work in future as well.

All right, thanks. I don't understand why Beta 14 worked but later versions don't. Guess I have to look for alternative options now :(
