I used ultra spec at 1920x1080 and turned off SSAO and AA. What else should i disable to get more fps with best visuals?? Just check my spec on the left
Forget about more FPS with ubersampling on. It is the only option that will cut in half your max fps. You will have to sacrifice much more quality in other options to reach better fps. you'd be better off with all in ultra except ubersampling. A good setting for good performace with your setup would be: Texture Downscaling: Off Texture Memory Size: Large Shadow Quality: high Number of Shadowed Lights: Ultra LOD Distance: medium Bloom: on Light Shafts: Enabled Anti-Aliasing: Enabled Blur Effects: on Depth of Field - Gameplay: on Vignette: on Wet Surfaces Rain Effect: Enabled SSAO: on Motion Blur: Disabled or on if you like it Cinematic Depth of Field: Disabled Dangling Objects Limit: Disabled UberSampling: Disabled Vertical Sync: Enabled Decals: High spec remember, even a GTX 580 struggles with ubersampling. you should consider having CF or SLI for witcher 2 at max settings at 1080p and 60+ fps if you want to use ubersamplig at all costs, try disabling CINEMATIC DEPHT OF FIELD as it makes AMD videocards struggle, same happens in metro 2033.
I'll suggest an alternative .set graphics to 'Ultra' .set Vsync to 'Disable' .set Anti Aliasing to 'Disable' .set Ubersampling to 'Disable' .set LOD distance to 'Far' .download Inject SMAA version 1.2 ( http://mrhaandi.blogspot.in/p/injectsmaa.html ) .open the zip file "injectSMAA_by_mrhaandi_1.2.7z" .copy all the files from ".\d3d9" folder to your game's "Witcher 2\bin" folder .open up "injector.ini" .replace the line Code: preset = SMAA_PRESET_HIGH with preset = SMAA_PRESET_ULTRA .Play the game .While playing you can toggle the SMAA plugin by tapping the 'Pause/Break' button (but know that tapping the same key also pauses the game, so just click your mouse to unpause) Note: One minor problem is, fonts might look a bit odd..
SMAA causes glitches in some games, but I've yet to come across a game where FXAA doesn't work. I prefer SMAA though, it doesn't mess with textures or the UI as much.
ubersampling is only for ce dual card systems..period i can run ubersampling and my max fps is around 48
It might but SSAA is not for my liking, I rather have FXAA and other effects... and this will never look as good as the Ubersampling feature. BTW I'm using a somewhat of an injector for ME3 wich makes it look quite better but it also cripples performance, so I dont know to what extent this would be a better option.
Use Radeon Pro to force the F.E.A.R profile It won't increase GPU usage to 100% but it will avoid the game dropping below 60 (assuming you have vsync and a 60hz monitor).
With latest caps all games have 99% on both GPUS, except I enable Vsync wich will make it drop to about 60% on each (which ovbiously means it limits the amount of rendering the vga has to do).
http://downloads.guru3d.com/AMD-Catalyst-12.x-8.950.5-February-24-download-2885.html For me, the best drivers so far. BTW, maybe a silly question, but do you have ULPS disabled??
Huh, I can run Witcher 2 on ultra with ubersampling and supersampling on with little or no issues. I dont have a dual gpu setup....
