AMD Catalyst 12.3 (8.951.0 March 8) AMD Official WHQL

The 7970 is a really nice piece of hardware, especially in ocl it outperforms the nvid counterpart, but i do think that amd still lacks in the driver departement after all these years.

I do have driver related problems in the two main games i play ( DCS A10 flashing white blobs and some minor texturing bugs and in bf3 for some reason on building textures un can see the seams between different af levels )
and i really miss the extended feature set nvid provides.

 

That isnt amd driver issue, its the same thing that happened in BFBC2 and its still happening in BF3, so that "AF" issue youre having is a problem with the games rendering engine. Propably a feature made for consoles, as the engine is optimized for consoles first, pc´s later.

Too bad the 680 is so expensive in Sweden and that i won´t get too much for my HD6970 windforce OC otherwise i might have gone Kepler i just can´t afford one

 

Anyone having issues with BSOD, once weekly, since installing this driver version? Seems to be what's causing my occasional woes.

It might be an issue with automatic update, though the problems are occurring on Fridays, and the scheduled check for updates happens on Wednesday. I turned off automatic update to see if this will solve the issue.

 

This set finally got my Portal 2 running. Everything else works fine as usual.

every time I boot windows dos window appears with the title "AMD Accelerated Video Transcoding", what is?

is safe to disable this feature and how to proceed?

to fix issue wear overdrive disappears after agreement in win7 all you have to do is turn off uac and it will work fine.
