Suzuki is garbage and Mazda is basically a Ford. Get a Toyota, Honda, or Mitsubishi and you won't have any problems.
I agree with you 100% about the Honda's and Toyota's because they prefer less revvy engines and are not as reliant on turbo's either! I'm a bit stupid for not making a note of that in my original statment but basically you have to think of it the same way you think of super revvy Japanese bikes too. They wear out pretty quickly! Natural aspiration is usually longer lasting, if heavy duty enough not to cause cracks etc!
There isn't a single car manufacturer out there that never has problems. You just have to have some luck. I have bought 4 Mazda's over the years and never had a major problem. They all had over 200000km when i sold them and all where in good shape. I have had nothing but trouble with Italian cars though. I know people that do have big problems with Toyota or Honda. It all comes down to luck. My parents bought a brand new Mercedes CLK years ago and the car has been nothing but trouble. My uncle bought the same model on the same day at the same dealer and his car is perfect.
Mazda is not even 50% owned by Ford anymore as they're striving to get their own independence back. With that said, everything Mazda makes is generally quality and reliable with one major exception: Their rotary engined cars. Parts are expensive, and don't last very long. There's a reason other auto manufacturers don't bother with them.
ill just repeat this since you can get these for rly cheap and from what ive seen they put on quite the mileage
Quick, a BMW 335d e90 before they are all gone or so rare they cost more. This car was discontinued in the US with the new F30 model. Oh, sorry you are in the UK. So there is no hurry, I am sure the diesel BMW engines will be out in the F30 model in multiple engine sizes.
Found something: http://i.ebayimg.com/00/$%28KGrHqZ,!igE2LfFO4,GBNowIy8d-Q~~_12.JPG 2.0 CDTi, £1600. Very good nick.
Are you implying you can get one of these for $3000? If not then why would you start your post with "quick" and then follow it up with "patience" as if that's what you meant all along?
As mentioned in the first post, I started it thinking the OP was in the US, then I edited it without changing the original post but explaining that since he was in the UK there was no hurry. Now the "patience" part was a joke, I just thought that was blatant enough not to need an explanation.
