Battlefield 3 (Official Thread) Pt. 2

It has early (for LMG standard) unlockable heavy barrel. And heavy barrel is awesome now if you can aim well and burst well in mid range.

 

I have this problem after the patch. When I am close to dying my screen gets black for half a second and comes back to normal when I am dead. Anyone know how to fix that?

That sounds normal. I imagine if you believe in an afterlife. When you die your world goes black and then comes back to normal while you're looking over your dead corpse :nerd:

 

Not sure if it was mentioned before but did anyone notice that heat seekers cannot hit jets anymore shooting from helicopter. I had very little time to play yesterday and I fired dozens of rockets into jets but all of them always exploded behind.:bang: Not even one hit. Was it meant to be like this after the patch or something is broken?:3eyes:

 

its cool not to worry about ping. i dont have to know my ping.

 

No..... that's not normal because it wasn't like that before the patch and that felt normal compared to this.

 

I like the changes to small arms a lot in this patch (haven't really touched vehicles yet).

My only gripe is that lot of attachments are broken atm., like RPK having 200 rounds with exted mag lol

 

i'm using it at the moment. they took away extended mags for my favorite weapon, the MG36. why i dont know, it was only average to begin with! so now it's the RPK my ext mags

 

I am 40% getting the new update xD

Is the Extended mag OK on the M249?? That one is a big deal for me because it is my number 1 weapon..

 

M249 is fine with 200 ammo with extended ammo.

How is everyone finding all the changes, is at all good..

 

one thing I find wtf is the fact that i have to unscope on my EMR to reload. I don't understand the logic behind it.

It's more annoying than anything because if it was to stop fast reloads, it really fails because it only makes you lose a few milliseconds once you get used to the rhythm of it.

I can feel the difference in handgrip on my MG36 as well. She feels much "wilder" compared to before.

Also, the game feels a teeny bit faster and more responsive? Could be a placebo thing though.

 

The gun fire volume is louder and more prevalent overall, as suppressor is no longer a must have.

Suppression effect is very strong so I always use squad cover perk so I can at least get semblance of accuracy when I'm under fire. Otherwise, once you are shot at you are good as dead if you can't run away (which is pretty freaking lame imo).

Tanks are more fragile. I like this change but I can see why some would hate it.

 

I've been using the L85 lately and it's fairly good..

Here are a couple rounds I just played using it. We got based raped the first round & the second no one seemed to think defending flags was a priority.

Map played was Karkand.



The suppression effect is a bit more overbearing now.

Countless times I'll be shooting someone than a random spray across the map causes my bullets to become rubber.

I don't know could be the client-side lag, there's times where I'll spray someones face like 3 whole seconds before they pull the trigger and kill me with 2-3 body shots..

 

I haven't played the new update yet but from what I've read on BattleLog I like the sound of the suppression effect actually working now..

Could someone explain about the Sniper Bullets?? I read the bullets are large and visible..

 

I hope you don't use it for the weapon glitch.
Almost every server I'm on some high ranking players uses the no recoil/spread glitch. It's annoying and you can't even report them because you can't provide a solid proof.

 

Nope, never even heard of such a glitch.

For me the L85 has plenty of recoil, I tend to shoot in bursts at medium range and single fire for long distance (as most people do).
