I have to say your priorities are somewhat questionable...I'd personally make sure all the body panels match and are present before putting on nice wheels.

Say the same thing when you've got bad rust spots and you don't have a welder, nor the skill to fix it properly.

Sometime in a year or two I will start a full rebuild project out of it, and at the point all the rust and problems with the body are fixed it will get a fresh coat of paint.

These are cheapo rims with nice tires to get the handling sorted. This is not a show car, its a car for me to toy around with on autocross and track.

Besides, I like the ratty look. :)

It's a 1989 Plymouth Voyager. Daily driven and pretty much a junkyard build.

    So far it has

2.2l SOHC 4cyl from a 87 Dodge Daytona running an intercooled T2 Garret turbo @ around 13psi, high flow catalytic converter going into a custom 2 1/2 mandrel bent exhaust system, 2 1/2in Thrush Glasspack. 255lph walbro fuel pump, boost controller, Forged internals, Intercooler is from an 80's audi while the blow off valve is from a 1st generation turbo eclipse. A555 5 speed manual transmission. It was a factory 5 speed van so most of the hard work was done. Front end is lowered a few inches on Shelby Daytona struts and springs. Handles very nice for what it is.

It gets lots of laughs, scares the hell out of people, and is more fun to drive than it should be :D.

While they are nice cars... i, personally, am not a fan of the newer styles. The Vette is probably the nicest of the two. The new Camaro's.... just remind me too much of every other new muscle/pony car that's been recently reborn. Think the only one that looks the most unique is the Challenger. The Mustang and Camaro's look quite similar, except for a slight aesthetic tweak here and there. Makes me wish Pontiac were still around. Would have loved to see another Trans-Am. Love my parent's '01 TA.

With around 180hp it should be, although the car is pretty heavy for its size.

haha yeah, it's a bit backwards! Lights are controlled with a switched ground instead of a switched live, and the full current for the headlights goes across the dash and through the switch which causes it to burn out... relay upgrades are definitely part of this car's future

That's a matter of taste mate... and money. :D

As for me, i will leave my Type-R completly stock.
It's one hell of a car already, and stock ones are pretty rare these days.

BTW, made some new shots yesterday:

Very nice, i nearly brought a CTR but the insurance prices are insane.

Is the engine the 220bhp version?
