So I am using a GTX 680 clean install with the latest nvidia driver. While playing BF3 it seems to get s little stutter and sometimes weird jitters. Could it be the driver? or the card? is there any other drivers out that work for this card? thanks guys. By the way this is a fresh install.

    1) Does it jitter on both multiplayer & singleplayer or just multiplayer?

    2) Is the jitter consistently the same on all servers?

    3) Does the jitter only happen on a particular map or all maps?

    4) Does lowering the graphics settings reduce the jitter?

    5) Did you experience similar jitter with your previous card?

I notice jittery character animations on BF3 multiplayer and on certain servers there's this choppy lag that makes it feel like I have 20fps when I actually have a constant 70-80fps.

I've experienced this with an HD 6950 2GB, GTX 580 1.5GB & HD 7970 3GB and read around finding several other people experiencing the same thing.

Sometime this week my GTX 680 will arrive than I'll report back..

I have not tried sp yet, crysis 2 does the same thing on dx11. I am going to try settings on high next to see if it makes any difference on bf3. When i move from side to side it just doesnt look or feel really smooth. I do not have anything overclocked either.

What FPS are you getting? Does this happen with vsync enabled?

I'm pretty sure it's mostly to do with the server, was it a 64 man game? I've had old moments of rough "framerates" but when I check I've actually got +60fps (well, I don't play on super high so it helps) which leads to believe it's a server issue.

must be some servers or something because I just dled fraps and im getting anywhere from 68-120fps with mix ultra and high and 2xfaa and high post.

I saw you said it happens in Crysis 2 also, that leads me to believe that is not server problem. Your FPS is good, 68+, but, on bad cards, even when you have 160+ FPS you will notice jittery gp.

Did you have same thing before you changed your GPU? If answer is NO, then, as soon as possible, RMA card, or if they don't want to do that, take money back, and buy other brand.

ahahah! loool! I got pure-smooth at 1280x720@60Hz and @4xAA+FXAA-16xAF with vsync enabled and at all max's except motion blur disabled but only singleplayer BF3 and Crysis 2. :D

Are you using adaptive vsync? Maybe the GPU boost is faulty?

That is what I was thinking because on the 7870 or the 7950 i had before, it was not doing this. GPU boost my cause problems.. but I have no idea how to change it or whatever. Crysis 2 is smooth but, as soon as dx11 is enabled it starts to get jittery and small stutters. I think maybe I will just take the card back to the store and return it for another. I really do not want to wait ans get screwed.

I want 720p because I like pure-smooth (= 60 fps vsync + 60Hz) and BF3 and Crysis 2 are heavy for GPU. ;) But if I would add GTX 480 to SLi then I would change to 1920x1200 but unfortunately I can't buy more GTX 480 due to crisis until replace "free" from GTX 480 died to warranty or upgrade top-end Maxwell. :)

    lol this..

ricardo if you have to play on low res to get "smooth frame rate" it means its time to upgrade starting with that amd cpu

BF3 is lighter than Crysis 2 for CPU but singleplayer only. I don't need new CPU because if I change to 1920x1080 or x1200 then this higher resolution screen drops (much) performance. And I got almost always 99% GPU usage at 720p in BF3. :p lol!
