I wouldn't give an IPS panel much consideration if it's for gaming. 8ms response time? Meh. Would rather have a 27" TN panel for about the same cost

It's not for gaming mainly. Yes, i play games sometimes, but it's like 30-40% of all the time im using my computer. Are there any monitors that have best of both worlds?

Fast IPS screens are fine for gaming. I can't go back to TN any more. Gaming is so much better now when they look so awesome.

I wouldn't go above 24" with a 1080P resolution. Why? pixel density is gonna be a lot lower..

And i agree with Anarion go with IPS. TN is history and has poor color reproduction with weak angles.

Neither would I but for 1920x1200 display it's fine. Basically 23" 1920x1080 display but with extra height.

The Dell has 1900x1200 and still a low pixel density for a 24 inch :)

Yep, but if you compare a 27" at 1920x1200 vs 24" at 1920x1200 it will have smaller dot per inch. Thus better picture detail and you won't need much AA for it.

Dell U2412M is a cheap compromise compared to U2410.

I would pick this U2412M or if you want something a little cheaper with 1080P then a 22-23" Dell U2212HM or U2312HM.

All 3 should be below 300€.

In that case, the Dell would suit you fine :)
