Yeah, not wanting to sound tight, but cheaper is the most important thing to me right now.

Think i'm just about certain i won't be going near any of the 28nm AMD/Nvidia cards anytime soon.
Maybe 28nm is more expensive than we are thinking, or both sides are just getting greedy, either way all these new cards are doing is making previous gen cards look better.

    Fanboyism to the end.
I hope the nVidia card is great. I would love to see AMD prices to drop.

    Competition is good.

Yeah the cards this round haven't been that much better yet the prices have been way too high, unless nvidia prices their cards lower this might become the usual pricing, can't say I'd be too pleased with that.

Classic case of nvidia doing more with less. 5 phase 256 bit bus. The 780 is going to be a freaking monster. Any 100% conformation on the 680 price. $500?

it dont look good for us customers with the prices so high for not much more performance than last gen gpus , all in all not goo it looks like a £300 gpu is now mid range , yet only last year a mid range card was £200 , we lose red or green :bang:

My prediction is that the 680 will sell for around $399.

Yes indeed, I agree wholeheartedly. While I love to see new hardware being released, I'd rather wait longer for a bigger performance gain over the last gen hardware, or have it be about $100 cheaper. :/ Oh well, I'm typically a half a generation behind on my upgrades anyways. :infinity:

New GTX 680 may be only bit faster than my GTX 480 in 3DMark 11 at performance mode. Therefore, GTX 680 may be not good and isn't monster due to only 256-bit bus, small area of die and not high watts. loooool! I think 680 will cost US$300.

I'm very happy for GTX 480 (monster)! :D

How significant does memory bandwidth have an impact on FPS? I currently have a 480 and overclocking the memory under liquid cooling barely yields an FPS increase.

I don't understand why so many people are looking at the memory bus as a reason for this card not being quick?
