Ok my problem wasn't the drivers... I had loaded this app flux which was causing the horrible hitching in Skyrim. Closing the app fixed my issue. lol opps.

I was assuming it was an SLI issue because Skyrim is butter smooth on my system with these drivers.

No heat issues here even tho i got an aftermarket cooler.

Nvidia changed some monitor timings with 290.xx+ and now gpu goes to full clock when it detects 120hz, apparently that's how it suppose to be correct heh

I find it absolutely ludicrous. No energy saving for those with +60Hz monitor.

The more important thing is, does it go to 51mhz too or just low3d frequency - 405mhz?

Btw, i saw that info from "tech" ManuelG.. he said it doesn't down clock to 2d clocks. And that's what i meant before :)

Hm, mine goes to P12 states fine, but then again I have Multi-display power saver running to do so.

WOOO!!! They finally fixed the Skyrim framerate! I'm getting a solid 60fps everywhere including towns and caves even with Ambient Occlusion enabled. I knew it was a driver issue.

Ambient Occlusion drops my FPS by 10. And i hate playing with 50 FPS..that's not accaptable.

    Clock it!
You might be able to get a 20% overclock.

So in a nutshell, I don't feel like going through all 15 pages, are these worth installing? I'm still running on drivers from October or November..havent seen anything worth moving to since.

Anyone notice any improvements with these and serious sam 3?

They aren't broken with Serious Sam 3, but no improvements over the last beta either.

No point asking other people about drivers, no one gets identical results.

This is true. I just know the last few sets had a lot of issues for majority of users and I stayed away.
