No I don't - have another look at my screenshot....besides, the drivers I had installed previously were the 12.3rc's.

 

Do you (or anyone) happen to know what file corresponds to the 2d Driver in the install? for example atioglxx is one of the ogl drivers.

I am afraid no, I have not searched that deep to tell you the 2d driver file.

The drivers I currently use are: 8.961.2 and the 2d driver component version is 8.01.01.1235. All 2D clock issues solved and performance is even better (at least in BF3)

The previous driver I beta tested (same family with the driver discussed in this thread) had issues with 2d clocks/voltages being at 3d clocks levels.

Unfortunately, the driver I have eventhough is newer than anything else available on the internet, is not publicly available
But... AMD is aware of the problem, has already solved it based on the driver i have in my hands and hopefully a new official beta release will be available soon.

If I were you, I would simply revert to the previous driver until a new release is available.

 

I updates to the new driver and my CCC still says old version???

Maybe these are not for HD 7970? Although it said success when updating in the log file??

He's right... I have this drivers installed and for me it's 12.1 number in CCC and GPU-Z. And I first unistalled 12.1a preview

P.S. Very good drivers for my card! Well done AMD (so now I will skip 12.2whql probably). Also no more problems with CCC etc. :banana:

Well I don't know if you installed it properly or not.
I just uninstalled 12.1a (AMD manager uninstaller + Driver Sweeper + restart, then I installed 8.960 14 February drivers. And in CCC it shows as 12.1...

IMHO i believe that ATIMANs uninstaller 6.3.1 is currently the most complete amd gpu driver uninstaller.... give it a try (dont even use the classic windows uninstaller)
Just press A for automatic uninstallation and enjoy the ride

 

Well to be honest I have BSOD with ATIMAN's uninstaller, so I will skip that pro. And when I ''properly'' use default AMD uninstaller + Driver Sweeper I don't have any problems with installing/uninstalling any drivers

 

^Yeah, plus ATIMan only installs to C drive, and I don't have a C drive. So pretty useless imho. Driver Sweeper works for me also...

driver version that you see after installing marthands drivers is from PREVIOUS DRIVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
