Bullet is succeeding in the movie industry....

The industry goes where the money is....not necessarily where the best "tech" is....

you want to compare a x87 Physx/cuda to x86 opencl ( or C++ as it'ss free )) performance wise ? ) note: all x87 instructions have been removed 13 years ago and been replacedd by SSE.

You need to understand Ageia Physx ( the creator of CUDA, and Ageia Physix work now as leader for AMD and Bullet OPenCL physics, i will make it simple, the craetor and the guy who have work 10 years for create cuda, and was the the creator of ageia physx is now leader of Opencl for AMD and bullet group ) ...

He was VP, not director, and although had a role in it, he didn't create CUDA on his own.
He now manages the developer relations teams that help independent software developers for AMD.

you should read his cv, and how have ben created cuda ..

He have create Ageia, who have become PhysX after Nvidia ( after claim this will never working ) have become PhysX... He have trust of the accelerationGPU to replace cpu ( when Nvidia was say this is not a solution ) , and been the director of Nvidia computing space ( before move to AMD )

I cant recall a period in years where I have been so disinterested about the release of new GPUs. Maybe its because there are no new games I've encountered yet that would require a GPU upgrade for me. Dont know whats on the gaming horizon that would tax current hardware, but I think its not like things were 4 or 5 years ago where many new games then required top notch hardware to be at their best. I think current hardware has caught up with just about anything gaming studios can throw at us. Well, at this point in time anyway.

Agree 100%,there is nothing out there that really pushes the cards that we have now apart from having like 32x anti aliasing which isnt needed at all 4x anti aliasing is plenty just to take the edges off.

You remind one guy with 8800GTS and Core i7 970, who talks that he has no problem with any games and framerate.
