Considering that they are made with 2 different 28nm fabrication processes and AMD using the lesser of the two (Performance wise) it isn't that suspect. AMD's; (with their strategy of price/performance with good heat and power management) is using a fabrication process which offers better heat and power management while still offering good performance. Nvidia is using a process which produces higher performance chips, but isn't as economical power and heat wise (Which nvidia have never aimed for anyway).

But with the overclockability of the 7900 series it is likely that the cards will perform at the 600 series equivalent levels at a cheaper price. Especially when the custom cooler models come out in a month or 2 which will be clocked quite alot higher. Not to mention likely be released at least a month or 2 before the 600 series launch with the ability to reduce the price when nvidia launches their cards.

Words from one company against a competitor shouldn't be taken at face value. The only way we will see if what he thinks is correct is when they launch their cards.

Same old story Nvidia wins again (yawn):D
I knew it would end up like this anyhow as it always does 99% of the time AMD are always playing catchup and have been for quite some time.
