faster than 7950 slower than 7970, but godlike in extreme tessellation...

amd is weak at tessellation again...they just can't handle it...:puke2::)

FYI, my GTX 570 (810MHz/4020MHz) gives me 6168 GPU score (and P6581). 6518 for HD 7950 would be a big disappointment.

Softpedia source is Inpai, Inpai source is Fudzilla.... in reality there#s is no info sorry, run across all thoses sites and you will quickly find, there's no source, each site site cite the other site... they just addd rumored spec we have seen since last weeks... date etc...

the only new words was from charlie, who have boost to reuse old rumored spec.. ( you can make all site, forums, i have do all, and no one is the start of it , Expreview, Inpai.cn, chiphell, Fudzilla, Guru3D, Softpedia, VRzone.cn etc... all cite each other, even Napoleon and other, are extremely quiet )

    Yea i know kinda disappointing,

Here mine at 850mhz/2200mhz; gpu score 6243P, but when i benched at your freq. 810mhz i got around 180p less (gpu score 5998p), looks like SB helps a bit. :p

But if you check OC'ed 7950 it scales pretty well just like our 570gtx, at least something. I hope its the same for this midget GK104 :D

You seriously think that even the new Xbox or PlayStation will have graphics that beat your dual HD 6970 setup?!? :3eyes:

I very much doubt it; they'll likely use graphics circa HD 4850 or GTX 260 on a die-shrunk chip to keep power and heat at a minimum but with optimisations to bring them up to DX11 standard with tessellation support. They'll be capable of 1080p but most games will still run at 30 fps. I'd eat my (chocolate) hat if they turn out to any more powerful than that. You have to remember that the current 360 and PS3 struggle to run games at 720p with AA at 30 fps, or 60 fps without compromises so 1080p @ 30 fps would be a big leap graphically.

That and they have better drivers (IMO) with extra features such as PhysX, forced ambient occlusion, tweakable anti-aliasing flags (using NVIDIA Inspector for editing them) and a per-game profile system that has been in place for YEARS. Oh and OpenGL works too. :p

AMD make fantasitc hardware at great prices but I think their drivers outright suck. Sorry!

so you bought Nvidia, second time in a row, solely because of TWIMTBP titles?

BTW if that is the case, you're implying that ONCE AGAIN YOU WILL BUY NVIDIA :D

Actually it was 4th in a row xD 6-8-9-570 and no not because of twimtbp, but because it was a better choice in that time. :)

Hm idk, but what I know is that it will be a 28nm refresh :p

hehe, sometimes patience pays off,and pays off good.
there is more i can do instead of waiting.
gathering as much info as i can about it,but rumors or predictions...slowly are starting to bother me less.
with a solid sample and many benchmarks i can be as excited an tech guy can be...
but you have right, maybe i am getting rusty...
i should drink more energy drinks and start to post predictions ..

hehe, your post just uplifted my spirit.

Oh, so you'r saying GK 104 will be flying on TWIMTBP titles.
There aren't many of those lately u know... Batman and...?

AMD is much more active with his Gaming Evolved program, with Nvidia more less drawing a short straw in those titles... except BF3.

It was proly like - NO WAY, YOU'RE NOT GETTING THIS ONE W/O a FIGHT and forced their programmers into DICE

Will the new vNidia stuff OC as well as the 7970 does though? There's 30% free performance right there.

but willn't be efficient. Coz pigs are not meant to fly.

That comes from using 28nm, should expect the same OC results. Unless they decide to launch with high clocks.

    Edit: Thanks mkilbride :p fixed

It will be a "midrange" card depending on the price. And i bet that if really competes against the HD7970, it wont be 200 USD cheaper...Well, 400 USD cheaper to make it a midrange card, wasnt the HD7970 600 USD at launch?
    28.14 actually /jk :p

    and all that

Well imo it still looks like it will be a 7950 competitor and rival 7970 in more nvidia oriented games.

Agree or not, that's all i can say :)
