...Prices will not be good if this turns out to be true.

and looking towards the future, 2gig vram wont be enough for 3 screen setups. My 2x6970's are generally fine for now but with new consoles on the horizon will struggle.

    Horizon?

THey won't release for 2 years, at least. I don't think it's an issue...and 2GB of RAM is fine for most setups, even 3 monitors, though most would dual GPU by then anyways.

Yes it should compete with 7950, every rumor so far suggested that.

Dunno if we really need another thread about that ;)

Maybe it will in TWIMTBP titles - its the only thing that saves Nvidia and gives it that extra kick compared to AMD.

I dont have anything against nvidia, I'm talking this from neutral point of view.

    Its a mid range part.
Get an enthusiast or high end part if you need more.

The SLI results are 10,300ish at stock and just over 11k at 810Mhz. And yes these are my results. At 750Mhz you're going to get over 6k on a single card. The 7950 better be more powerful than you predicted. And these cards still have a lot more headroom as well.

Lol, it seems you couldnt wait :)

    Specs look tasty.
I imagine the 225W part can be cooled easy enough at 28nM (smaller die), but the more power hungry parts may follow the 4xx series and run too hot to be full featured at first.
    Hopefully not.

Is there anything else you can do except to wait? Some are excited by these rumours ,i for one, and consider them interesting.

Hope they use better VRMs on these keplers.

Not sure why theres another thread on this topic but oh well..

This mid range card i really cannot see competing or beating a 7970! I can see the 670 varient being competitive with 7970 and the 680GTX (If 600 seris is going to be their name) surpassing the 7970. But the 660 being competitive with the 7970 come on, it ain't happening.

Its just certain Nvidia fanboys wanting this so they can trash AMD, which in my opinion is pointless! We all need competition in these markets, one ruling is no good for all of us!

Before anyone starts, no i'm not saying everyone with an Nvidia product is a fanboy far from it, my last three cards where Nvidia cards, and if they offer the best bang for the buck next year i'll hop straight on back over, no question.

There, there's my two cents, make of it what you will.

Its also easy enough to somewhat rig performance scores, as you don't know every setting.

have you ever done a suicide run bro? jack up your cpu volts and gpu volts just to do a run of 11 and vantage. 5.2 ish and +900 on the gpu and post it here. then go back to you 24/7 clocks immediately. the 570 is capable of much higher score in single and sli.
I have run 5.2 np and 940/4600 on my 580`s

    So?

You have SB that boosts cpu score and final score quite a bit. I can get ~7050 graphics score or total 6540 too if I oc beyond 900mhz :)

BTW; It says graphics score not overall score ;),

    mine stock oc 770mhz/2000mhz - 5768 vs 750mhz/1900mhz - 5560 looks about right.
