your any videocard (desktop/laptop) died to ressurect for FIX!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_taI-CkPD3M - watch video about tutorial Fixing a graphics card (nVidia 8800GTX) by baking it in the oven. This fixed microfractures in the solder and reconnects the problematic chips (GPU) to the board. This can be done with most graphics card and motherboards if this is the problem. It can even be used to repair a PS3 that has a YLOD or a Xbox360 that has RROD. Although the temperature and bake time may differ. Please do this at your own risk! If you want more details go to- http-//www.overclock.net/nvidia/590817-8800-gtx-ressurected.html Song- Come Clarity by In Flames I ressurected 8800gts640 what works 100%!!!!!
ok but the thread "General Hardware" is better and easier because I wait what next people may see here by many views.
LOL awesome stuff man awesome. i wish i saw this before i had a mobo with integrated graphics wich had all sorts of artifacts like in video and would freeze on windows loading. but i destroyd it, seen this before would have prolly saved the mobo
Good job mate....well done.....hope your vga will work another decade lol .....but yeepppp amazing stuff
after my 8800gts success I will try to fix geforce 6800ultra agp. because this old gpu is dead since november 2006.
I won't try 6800ultra agp because my friend already laid it to waste for many months or 1 year. I am unlucky.
Jeez, and there am I afraid to touch a bare card because of static for years and fellas are baking their cards in the oven, lol.
Bump this for informative value. I have baked 2 x 8800 gts, 1 x 8800 gtx and 1 x 9800 gt successfully. One of the gts cards died a week later (different symptoms), but the rest are running happily in relatives computers. It's a very simple procedure.
i beg to differ it MAY seem simple, but it is not. sorry for splitting hairs, but reflow soldering is anything but easy. i am taking some classes about reworking, and i can tell that beneath the entire process, there is a long story to tell. but it may seem simple.
