AMD Releases Catalyst 12.1 Preview - Download & Discussion

This driver set is installing oddly on my Tri-fire setup. It is installing the 4x card second and the 8x card third (8x/4x/8x) where it should be 8x/8x/4x. I think this is why I am having problems with the overdrive configs. Any ideas how to get it working properly?

 

so no DX11 multithreading then?

AMD want to get their ass in gear, they got 660euro from me in the past year and are holding my cards back.

 

since I don't think it's mobility compatible ... anyone could realize a modded version?

 

It was the "morphological filtering" causing me serious grief. Once I uncheck it, life is good!

 

It seems like BF3 is running better for me with these drivers.

I'm seeing 90%+ utilization on all 4 GPUs much more often and it's also spiking to 150+ fps much more often as well. Seems to be smoother overall. Though, it didn't exactly run "bad" before.

 

Blah, these are bad for me in BF3.

Stuttering and huge FPS drops in smoke, etc.

Back to the drawing board....

 

Guys! For the BF3 stutter follow the instructions for the fix I provided, it works!

 

Not gonna use these... Battlefield 3 is terrible now. Was at least playable with 11.11 (didn't try 11.12).

 

skyrim runs great for me now i have nothing but good things to say about these drivers so far. Still waiting for an update for perfomance in the witcher 2....

 

This is awesome! in any case, buggy or limited (if so), this is truly a step forward for red team! (is it still red team?, white?)

 

No DX11 Multithreading, worse BF3 preformance..... disappointing:wanker:

 

Same performance here, with Cap 3, played BF3 for a bit and absolutely no issues. These do run very smooth, will test more tomorrow.

 

No longer true; v295.18 beta's allow fxaa to be applied to specific .exe's now.

 

Don't overwrite it, the profiles were prob installed along with the drivers.

I never installed the caps to begin with...but I still got the same message.

I just done a windows bench with this lot, here's my results:

Graphics: 6.7 - 5.8
Gaming Graphics: 6.7 - 6.6

Is this driver broken, displaying information falsely, what ?. Starting to wonder if this is another lol driver.

Also would someone be kind enough to upload the media codec package too, or point me in the right direction.

 

WEI score is a joke, always has been.

 

About Rage. It seems like a broken V-Sync problem, I ran mine with V-Sync off in CCC unless program specifies, then I tried to turn it on in Rage and it crashed straight away, but then I forced it on in CCC and turned it on in Rage it didn't crash.

 

I know that, but that far off seems strange to me.

 

Im with 12.1 + cap3.

Sr3, run better now, smooth and solid 60 frames without stutter.
Bf3, only tested karkand during 10 min, running fine, dont see any difference from 11.11a.My min framerate is 65, normal 80/85 with some zones with 90/105 in exteriors.Have to test more, with more explosions and smoke.
Skyrim, running like 11.11c, im running it with 4gb patch.
Mw3, dont see any improvements, runs like 11.11a.

Dont seem to be a bad driver, at least for me.
