I've worked out how to do this now (in Win7):

    1) from a cmd window, type powercfg -list to get the GUIDs for each Scheme

    2) create two batch files, one for Performance and one for Balanced, containing "Powercfg -setactive GUID" where GUID is the correct one for each Scheme.

    3) In RP, under Scripts, Pre-Start put in the script box:
"Run( "D:\\Games\\Switch to Performance Power Profile.bat")

    and in Post-finish put:
Run( "D:\\Games\\Switch to Balanced Power Profile.bat")

Obviously changing the path and filenames to point to the files you've created.

Bit overkill just to switch Power schemes though

  6. hey guys, ive just fired up cs:s for the first time in forever and crossfire isnt working well at all with it. the top half of the screen is being left behind by the bottom half of the screen. its strange and very annoying/distracting. is there a work around to get crossfire to work with this game with rpro? im using the 11.11a performance drivers with 11.11 cap 2

    sounds like tearing...turn on vsync...

  8. It sounds like tearing yes, but its not the same. I've just fired up cs:s again. The bottom 3/4's of the screen is perfect, no "tearing" whatsoever. It's just the top portion of the screen thats out of sync.

Vsync is enabled, as is in all of the games I play.

Can I force vsync in cs:s with rpro? it's enabled in ccc as it is and so is triple buffering.

Worst case scenario i'd disable crossfire via rpro, but how do i make an rpro profile for a steam game like cs:s?

Vsync can be forced on with Radeon Pro, look under the Tweaks tab.

if you enable Vsync in cs:s you will get mouse lagg. instead try to limit the fps from the gameenigine instead.

there is a command which you can add to the config file, so it limits the game.
ive set it to 120fps myself. sorry cant give you the exact command, since i cant search here at work.

Oddly enough it doesn't work sometimes unless RadeonPro's process monitor is enabled.

So... what's going on, has the guy abandoned the project? The last update was February according to the date on his website. His current video card is listed as a GTX 460, I guess that might explain it.

The guy disappeared from the face of the earth. :( I'm worried that something happened to him.

    Edit: Hmm, his twitter.

Looks more like he switched brands and left us twisting in the wind. Oh well, project is dead unless someone gets the source code from him, was nice while it lasted.

well the project works fine, and ATI looks like implementing it on their drivers (at least most important part, app profiles), at least 8.93 alrdy has it.

Indeed. But I really want the Triple Buffering for Direct3D and V-Sync Forcing options.

    serious flaw

When you first install this program you get the question something like "your driver supports advanced features, would you like to enable them?". If you answer yes, and you have a HD4000 or older card, will mess up your CCC 3d settings completely. For example, CCC's A.I settings (crossfire) shows texture filtering quality slider and check box for surface format optimization. Your crossfire will never work in any game.

If you answered yes to this question there's no way to change it anymore except uninstalling radeonpro and catalyst drivers. Hope this will be fixed (its been there since the first release).

There should be strong mention about this when this question appears at first (and the last) time.

Request: Simple checkmark next to profiles to enable/disable them instead of right clicking a profile and disabling the API stuff.

Which is better: RadeonPro BETA or ATI Tray Tools?
