    OMGGGG WTFFFFF.

10 minutes ago i did the first test. I just can`t believe my eyes !!!!!!!!!!

You better hear me, when someone says that CPU bottleneck for a crossfire is real you fu*** believe him!!!! look at this:

CASPIAN BORDER / 64 PLAYERS / Ultra (except textures in high) MSAA Off, post AA Normal, Motion blur On. 1920x1080.
    11.11 whql + 11.11 CAP2

    old processor:
    Phenom II x4 955 BE @ 3.800 mhz
    Mother BIOSTAR TA790GX A3+ Chipset AMD 790gx
    RADEON 6850 Sapphire Toxic CrossfireX
4gb ddr3 1333 mhz OCZ gold (the cheap stuff)

    min. 26 / Max 53 / average 38 -- GPU USAGE 35%-55% on both cards

New Processor (i bought it 5 hours ago):
    Intel I7 2600k @ 3.4 Stock (turbo 3.8).
Mother ASUS P8Z68-V PRO, chipset INTEL Z68
    RADEON 6850 Sapphire Toxic CrossfireX
    4gb ddr3 1333 mhz OCZ gold

    suspenseeeee:

    min 56 / max 152 / average 75 -- GPU USAGE 85%-99% on both cards

OMGGG WTFFFFFFFFF im soo fuc*** happy!!!!

tested crysis on very high 4x aa 65 average omgggggg.

    ok...Joyful mode off.

In crossfire, it is not about drivers, it is about CPU bottleneck.

i hear your considerations about the subject.
I love you all also XD.

I get 99% usage on both my gpu's in BF3 and never see it drop below 60FPS (vsync), you sure you didn't just have some old drivers stuck in your system conflicting? Since you more than likely have formatted since the upgrade?

Battlefield 3 LOVES 6 cores my friend. Its just too much of a difference with a 4 cores CPU.

Ahhh, that explains a lot! I was under the impression that nothing used 6 except BC2, wasn't aware of BF3.
Welp, I know what I'll be upgrading to next year if AMD don't get their **** in shape with the whole Bulldozer flop.

Many thanks Tommy, you think only changing multi to 42 (4200 mhz) will be okay, or vcore changes are needed?

If you left it auto it is most likely higher than needed

Crossfire is about Drivers and CPU.

Yeah, i was just bragging :)

But i didnt believe people who talked about cpu bottlenecks in crossfire setups...now... i seen it with my very own eyes and touch it with my very own fingers.

You got a Hex Core AMD and it makes a difference in CF than if using a Quad Core AMD in some games and becoming more so.

17 Games that already benefit from six cores CPUs

At the bottom of each Picture it shows the the benefit for each game.
    And that's from 2010.
    http://www.pcgameshardware.com/aid,...already-benefit-from-six-cores-CPUs/Practice/

Besides newer games like BF3, Dirt3 loves 6 cores as well.

Yes CPU can indeed Bottleneck Multi GPU, and the lower the res the more the CPU can bottleneck.

Intel CPU are 2 or 3 Years ahead. Even 4 Intel Cores are betten then 8 AMD Cores on games. Bud **** it, AMD is cheap :D

good to see you get a ****load of frames with your new cpu, just to know what i will expect when i'll upgrade even tough i don't have your gpu power im still severly bottlenecked in games. I'll be at least as happy as you when i upgrade:)

Nice, BF3 utilizes multi core CPU's really tho, so don't expect the same same sort of results with every game....;)
