Same old AMD nonsense, getting the same FPS with Xfire on as I was with Xfire off...FAIL.

Did they even test these drivers on anything but the 6000 series? My buddy who has 6870 CFX said the drivers are working great for him without issue.

For me? Non-stop flickering and green flashes in Skyrim, and constant BSOD crashes in MW3 and SR3.

Buddy, these drivers are for people running crossfire. That's their sole purpose. Your post is not helpful.

Nope. Consoles make me shiver me just by speaking their names! =)

I had a budget of 200€, I bought a 6950 1gb, confident to the fact that ATi/AMD has not so much problems with the single gpus. At first the choice was the 560ti but the 6950 had a competitive price for major performances.
I had not a single problem with it, I'm really happy.
I know my Q6600@stock is bottlenecking my gpu, but I'm planning to buy an air-cooler to bring this up to 3.0 - 3.2Ghz. For now, bf3 works great while skyrim suffers a bit in towns because it is just using two of four of my slow cores at 2.4ghz.

Are all you people that have flickering and negative scaling using non-stock .DLL files?

I thought the drivers were for anyone running the cards mentioned in the supported devices list.

    ps.

I should add that, for a game that's almost entirely cpu bound in situations where you'd even see low fps, even having crossfire 'working' isn't going to bring much improvement unless you are running lower end cards below hd 6850/5850.

You mean for Skyrim? No. Still doesn't explain the BSOD crashes I was getting in SR3 and MW3, either. Went back to 11.11A and everything is fine again. The B drivers are trash for me.

Running these and tested MW3, So far the same as previous set 11.11a (cap2). Not running any CAP now. No issues thus far

Per CatalystCreator and the OP the only change with these drivers is that they're supposed to enable crossfire in Skyrim. That's it. That's why everyone in this thread has a multi-gpu configuration and is upset that they can't get them to work properly.

Nope as posted earlier the release notes indicate improvement for single GPU's also:

    New in Catalyst 11.11b:

Delivers AMD CrossfireX performance scaling for (Elder Scrolls Skyrim and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations)

    Elder Scrolls Skyrim
    Delivers AMD CrossfireX performance scaling
Improves performance 2-7% on single GPU configurations
Resolve corruption seen when enabling Multi-Sample Anti-Aliasing on the AMD Radeon HD 6970 Series

    Assassin’s Creed: Revelations
    Delivers AMD CrossfireX performance scaling
    Batman Arkham City
Improves DirectX 11 performance for single GPU configurations
    Rage
    Delivers AMD CrossfireX performance scaling
Resolves a number of image / stability issues seen with the title:
Fix geometry corruption, sometimes seen in Bash TV entrance
Fix issues with Low-memory conditions on 32bit systems.
Fix issue with extreme corruption with missing textures on 32bit systems.
Fix memory leaks when deleting/reusing sync objects.
Fix hitching and pausing, especially noticeable on some Quad Core systems when doing races and Stanley Express runs.
    Fix some missing shadows

Guess you were unable to read the release notes. These drivers offer a lot to single GPU users including performance increase in Skyrim and fixes in Rage, BF3 and Batman.

Everything except the Skyrim/AC:R CF notes are from the 11.11a drivers.

11.11b does not do anything extra to single GPU's that 11.11a does not.

Tried without the 4Gb patcher and yes it does seem to give more frames now. Of course the game now crashes every 15 minutes without the patcher. :bang:

Why would the patcher disable one GPU though? It's just making the EXE Large Address Aware so it'll work properly with a 64bit OS isn't it?

other than bringing performance improvements in the latest games?

because the exe file being used (TESV.exe.4gb) is not the same as in the profile, use radeonpro to add the 4gb exe into the skyrim crossfire profile.
