finally( i hope ) AMD/ATI are getting around to multithreaded DX11

Anyone installed these on top of 11.10 preview drivers with crossfire?

Is that 99% in a good way? Or is it 99% in overly-excessive, inefficient kinda way?

    That's v-synch disabled obviously, correct?

    v-sync off yes.

Playing on ultra is very smooth. 100fps + @ 1080p. The best of all: no stuttering. 6990 alone is NOT enough alone. Not even 2x580. I have 2x580 also, but 6990+6970 is the best for me now in BF3. Atleast in ultra settings. "AA postprosessing" is killing fps. Without I have 150+ fps.

Unless they introduced it in 11.9cap3, maybe it's not the case. I' getting exactly the same problem.

Does this DX11 multithreading business have anything to do whether HT is on or off on Hyperthreading capable CPUs like i7?

no, & a lot of games are worse with HT on

also the dx11 multithreading only exists in 2 games, bf3 & civ5 (or are there others?)

No it shouldn't, basic multithreading refers to 1+ cores, as seen by the os, how the cpu does it's not relevant for the graphic driver.
As i remember, amd drivers are multithreaded since years ago, they load the core that the 3d engine is not loading. But dx11 multithreading should be refering to some other refinement.

the drivers' own code can be threaded, but something about the dx pipeline/commands that get sent are still a single thread without the feature

Totally agree, but I only turned off HT prior to BF3 release since many had stuttering problems using HT.

Interesting though to test dx11 multithreading in BF3. I'll check it out after work.

Why do they keep releasing Caps that disable crossfire? Nba 2011 previously and now Driver? Both run fine with crossfire and cranked up aa, af and vsync and need multiple cards.

Seriously WTF is wrong with AMD/Ati?

Also, where are the RAGE crossfire drivers???!!!!

Rage supports neither crossfire nor sli.

Mmm i dont think so, the game engine is not designed to run crossfire/sli afaik.

lol because they don't know that the green side also shares a fair amount of problems as well, sure they get their drivers/sli profiles faster but doesnt mean it works well ;)

Running these with 11.11. Was able to turn hyper threading back on. Stuttering is gone in BF3, game play seems smooth. Liking these so far. Running Tri-fire setup 5970+5850.
