I only have like 40-50 fps

I have the same Graphics card and i7 920 at 2.7 ghz

And using the dll file. Why isn't it working for me :c

Also. are you playing on max?

I play on Ultra:). Try to disable HT on i7, I heard that may cause issues. I would also try to overclock that CPU as you are limited by it. At 3.8 GHz you will see a big improvement.

Clueless aren't you, that's screenshot is 1 frame which means the GPU does not necessarily mean it's locked at 40%...:3eyes:

It ranged from 40 to 79% most of the time while playing. Better than having 20 FPS slideshow negative scaling.

the FPS is capped to 60 everywhere so I don't know how you say it's 120...

I do have present interval set to 0 and vsync forced off in CCC.

Noidea what people are going on about - check your driver versions, this works well with crossfire surprisingly.

11:10 preview2 + cap4 is working fine here for crossfire as i can see over 90% usage on both GPU's.

The game is not that power hungry anyways, as always use the ini tweaks with anything that comes from Bethesda and your fine.

    Ini tweaks

    I used the tweaks here:
    http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/11/11/t...e-graphics-disable-vsync-change-fov-and-more/

The most important one being: Disable Vsync
Access the SkyrimPrefs.ini and add iPresentInterval=0 to the bottom of the [Display] section.

I'm using D3DOverider to lock Vsync on and by stopping the game managing it, I now get 60FPS on High Settings and is smooth as butter. With Crossfire Enabled on 11.9 with Cap 4. I tried Ultra settings but the frame rates fluctuated and sometimes dropped to 24FPS. Not worth the effect on gameplay when High settings look great anyway.

Confirmed! Crossfire works good without any dlls but you have to alt-tab every time the game/saves/ loads.

Fair enough then...makes sense. All is good then. Besides, 40fps in this game is super playable. No issue for me. :)

I never get 90% usage on a single GPU

    Fire Bug Introduced

This definately increases performance but it introduces a bug where if you're set on fire the flames are black and blocky and you can't see (for instance during the 1st dragon fight) so I ditched it.

i just remembered, fallout3 had a bug where one of the dlls it comes with, atimgpud.dll, could be renamed/removed & then CF worked properly (that dll is for devs to have their app/game ask the driver how many gpus the user has)

of course, i would prefer there's a profile in the drivers/cap that detects TESV.exe, then see if removing atimgpud has an effect
