Its supposed to be a 448core version of the GTX570 and not really a 560TI since its going to have 1.28gigs of ram and 448 Core @ 732mhz + 3 Way SLI compatible.

Expect slightly better performance than a GTX470. I don't know what to compare clocks to, maybe a GTX470 at 750 core?

It is basically a GTX470 with better stock clocks, less power draw and cooler temps.

Performance will be basically the same as HD 6950 or 10% better, which effectively makes it very close to the GTX 480. It's not a big deal for existing 560 Ti owners, though compute performance may have bigger advantages.

I don't think NVIDIA really needed to release this though, but I guess NVIDIA wants to get people buying their GPUs at all price points given the holiday season is incoming.

560ti is alrady 10% slower than hd 6950 so it's only just going to be equal, other than in games which favour nvidia/ati.

The 560ti has already proved to be a fail at 1080p so this release is very much needed if nvidia want to compete in the lower-high end segment at 1080p resolutions atleast until nvidia can get a new series out, ati's 7 series should be out around january so it's still too little to late and only hurts gtx 570 slaes.

Ya no 448 edition for the 2 win dual gpu card.

The 448 model GTX 560 is a single GPU card.

Looks like a typical "what to do with GF110 GPUs that fail the 570 tests" thing

That would be fine, if they can make it use more vram

Dunno where u get your news, but Nvidia still sells 50% more of its failed cards then AMD does.

I don't see what sales or AMD has got to do with actual performance, which btw is fail at 1080p going by bf3 mp performance.

560 TI is not a fail for 1080P cause of ( buggy IMO ) BF3. 560TI is yes "limitied" to 1gb of Vram, wich is plenty for 98% of the newer games at 1080P.

The 448 edition gona have 1.28gigs, like the 570.

With EVGA just releasing the 560Ti 2Win (384) I doubt they will also release a 2Win 448 version.

its just a 570 with some beat shaders that got cut probably. gtx 565 would of been a better name for it
