MSI afterburner bug report & suggestion

Hi,

MSI afterburner 2.2 beta8 when running will cause these games to crash on startup: supreme commander, supreme commander2, portal2, forged alliance and possibly others. Other games run fine such as bf3 or bc2 or metro 2033.

ATI crossfire 6990+6970, 11.10 with 11.9cap4, win7 64bit.

My Sapphire 6950/70 flashed reference card won't stop artifacting unless I turn off voltage control. As soon as I turn voltage control on it will artifact in Kombustor, with it off it works fine at 920/1375. I've tried upping the voltage all the way up to 1.35 and still doesn't change anything.

Also in kombustor it doesn't detect the voltage change.. Still says 1.110

 

Hey guys, I have been using Afterburner since I remember, but only the latest beta 8 started causing this issue for me. I can't use or save profiles. Whenever I press on a profile number, afterburner crashes.

thanks for your reply. I don't use unofficial mode. Here's my ATIADLEmulator.cfg.

Another thing I wanted to mention is the newly released app for iOS - it doesn't seem to connect to the MSI A. server. - basically it doesn't work at the moment.

Also, since ATIADLEmulator.cfg file was created, I can't adjust Vcore anymore. I understand that MSI Afterburner works in a xxx mode (can't remember what it said)?

 

Hmm, that's strange, but I corrected the typo and it works. Strange because previous versions didn't cause this problem.

I have the following problem. When I set the Voltage of my GPU Afterburner changes both the max and the min voltage. Before it wasn't like that. Is there a way to fix this or a way to set min and max separately. I'm using Afterburner 2.1.0 and my GPU is Gigabyte GeForce 560 Ti

As soon i install beta 8 on freshly installed windows 7 64bit, under a minute PC always restart with garbled screen. Uinstalling Afterburner fixes that. I didnt even had time to set something under Afterburner.

EDIT.: as long i dont use unofficial overclock, its fine, and since i dont need that , disregard this bug report.:nerd:

 

I don't know if this is a bug but:
With Catalyst 11.10 user defined fan control doesn't work.
On my system, MSI Afterburner is in startup aplications and when it starts, it can't control the fan-Accelero Extreme(2K rpm max).
It works if I force him from CCC. Maybe CCC devs made some improvements or change something... With older versions of CCC, user defined fan control worked great, now

 

Predator video capture is great! Minimum framedrops compared to other software, but i would love to see sound recording to!

 

I couldn't see any mention of this from reading the previous two pages but MSI Afterburner's OSD and, thus, screenshot feature do not appear to be working with L.A. Noire so I was wondering if there's either a fix for that now or whether it will be addressed in the next beta. Thanks and keep up the hard work. It is appreciated.

Uncle Dude has shown a screen which shows MSI Afterburner v2.2.0 beta 8 *does* work with the Steam version as shown *here*. He said he isn't using a crack or anything.

I have noticed that the Steam build is slightly newer, v2396 I think, than the retail disc version I have, v2393, so I don't know whether that accounts for why it works with Steam but not the non-Steam versions. Or it could be something to do with the DRM I suppose?

 

I have a bug but not sure if its bug for MSI Afterburner, and the bug is when the app MSI Afterburner loads it doesn't the Profile 1 at all. Also like to report a bug as well, and that is its not recognizing my Driver Version which I have 11.11 install, & but the number version is not 11.11?

 

googled my issue but couldn't find anything. When I try to log history to file I get the error "Log session terminated due to log size overflow". I've tried restarting afterburner but the issue persists?
