Should i install cap4

Hey folks!

I have a 5870, and playing BF3 ok in low settings, but i would like to know if i also should install the cap4 thing, i dunno if it's only for crossfire setup, or if it also help for singlecards?

 

Hi,the catalyst application profile (CAP) is just for updating CCC`s internal profiles,install it without deleting the old caps and you should be fine,it will only update what it needs to but check the cap4 list of updates first because you might not need it

No, some release got profile for single card too.

 

Low settings with 5870?, I have the same card, everything on ultra except shadows and textures (high) and 2xAA, 1920x1200 resolution, i got around 50fps everytime.

 

I will add to this too.... maybe check you have not MSAA enabled and only enable FXAA ( Post AA, the setting under ) .. you should be ok at High, even ultra with some tweaking maybe.
