In what kind of circumstances and areas do you find jumping spiders? I've been wanting to photograph them for long but I just can't find them. I live in Austria, now obviously the habitat and climate is totally different, but still, according to wikipedia they should be around the whole globe almost, I've only found wolf spiders and such.

naike: i found them purely by luck, first one i saw was in my backyard and this one you just saw now was in friend's potted plant out in the yard too, all i can say is keep your eyes out and hope you get lucky, sorry couldn't help you there

there's a dint on the hoverfly's left eye lol

 

good stuff I like it...finally bugs that are all in focus, im not a fan a depth of field so shallow only part of the bug is in focus....getting itchy looking at those! ;-)
