I actually bought this about 18 months ago with all the other unreal tounrament games for about a £5er, for that price I was stoked, my internet is too **** these days for online play which is annoying.
I still play it nearly every day. Became a Warlord ver: This game is so much fun and requires more skill and teamwork than any other MMOFPS out there (except Tribes maybe). I usually play Warfare at Epic Warfare #2 Titan (32 Player) or Torlan.ru° Russian Funwars and VCTF at UT3X Server - PRO, Daemons of Shadow [DoS] LUX - nice ping & free beer or joltut3.co.uk (MTV) - NEW!! better ping and no lag.
I bought it near the release and played for some time but then switched back to 2K4 (which is currently more active than UT3)
I love the game. I have loved them all and have hard copies of every release. If you just want some fraggin fun, hop right in...no better fraggin anywhere IMO.
i still play it time to time, usually on some Bermuda no cdkey? DM server, that Free beer server is cool too and 3-4more :biggun:
Still play quite often. Like a lot of others said, I think its a great game. Yes Hunter, the free beer server is great.
Good Stuff! Glad to see this game still has fans I'm usually hanging around the Official Greed Server but have been searching for some NA CTF servers. Got any in mind? I'll also try and play more Warfare, it seems almost always populated. My game name is Wunderbar_007 so add me in friends if you wish. Also, has anyone given that color tweak a try? I'm curious to hear what you guys think. I think it's an improvement for the majority of the maps.
I think I got this in a Steam package with some other versions (Wanted Unreal I and II, and got these as well). Is there a single-player campaign that isn't multiplayer with bots?
There is a single player campaign (can also be played co-op) with a very thin story line but it is still presented as multiplayer matches vs corporations and clans. It's fun to get through with friends or if you're into achievements. Burnt_Ram, you are welcome
too bad the map i downloaded does show up in the game, its in the right spot ... strange. tons of other nice maps though
Hmm... make sure you have latest patch and titan pack installed, some custom maps require both. Also, some maps come with additional texture files so place those where required. I'll update the page to show where to place custom content soon
I´d love to play this from time to time, but mine just wont start for some reason. Having the Black Edition, and running it from steam. It asks if i want to launch the game or the Editor. Select game and loading mark shows on mouse for a moment, and nothing happens. Nice game to spend half of hour if bored or waiting on something, or more time.
I agree, I have no idea why it died so fast. Very fun, I still play the single player from time to time.
