I usually keep a beard 9 months out of a year, shave it during the hot months, although my last beard I had for 2 years before taking it off (It'd been so long I'd forgotten what my face looked like underneath).
I occasionally do although not much. I am growing one now however to see how it looks. But even though I have brown hair there is a fair bit of ginger scattered in the beard, this is giving me mixed emotions and making me tempted to get rid of it. One friend goes crazy everytime he see's me and says I have to get rid of it or he'll stop talking to me.
i've always had a clean trimmed beard, not the bin laden one like the image above, anyway i never shave it, i'd never go smooth faced. $hit pic sorry lol
This is my current beard. Have had it since the beginning of August. Will keep it till late may or June next year. I don't trim my beard or do anything special with it. Just was it with conditioner and shampoo every time i shower. mkilbride, the itching only last like 2 weeks for me. It worth a bit of itches. I definitely don't consider a goatee a beard. A beard is a beard
i rock more of a unshaved look, i don't like the full beard beard, but rather just trim the beast down every few weeks so it's not out of control.
I pretty much always have a beard, mostly due to sheer laziness. I actually got a beard trimmer for Christmas last year so I've been keeping it in check a little better, but it still gets out of control sometimes.
Rockin a beard here. I hate shaving man! Tried a goatee once, not my thing, too much shaving involved. xD
havent grown mine out that much, but from what i can tell it doesnt get that curly. this is the biggest my beard has ever been nowadays because of the girlfriend i keep it trimmed short like this (i got rid of the way i shaped it, it was pretty square )
I have a rather large goatee, shave the rest of it every couple of weeks. Hair is kept long. I'm a typical metalhead really.
I grow one when i cant be arsed to shave for a week or so. (Happens quite alot). And after i shave it off my top lip and around my mouth looks swollen an wierd for a couple of hours. Any one else get that?
None, because it's itchy and I read sometime when I was younger that through the beard the body picks up more exhaustion.
Well because your skin is set to having hair on it and when you shave it, your face has to adjust to not having hair. when I shave I have red spots here and there
I let it grow to a small stubble, 5 o clock shadow look. I have let it get longer in the winter and even tried goat tee's and full beard, Would say It looks good on me, but I have a strong chin and jaw so 5 o clock shadow is the most I sport.
I also get red splotches here an there, but i can never bring myself to use a balm/soother though. I either wet shave it in the bath or shower. .Cos i have fair hair its not all that noticable, when i look in my cracked mirror.
