Yes. Just wasn't sure I understood you right. I had thought you were saying that the speakers I linked could be built for $150 each back in the day. It was blowing my mind a bit.

There is a set of bookshelf speakers and a desktop amplifier on that site that can be had for $130. Not sure of the quality but you can only expect so much for the price. Not that I am recommending them, just mentioning it.

 

Wouldnt have BLowz if if they were handing them out like free candy at Wal Mart.....

A few of my relatives actually purchased some high-priced Bose HT and speakers some years back. I'm having a seizure every time I see those units proudly on display in their living rooms

 

..and if it is seen by or reported to a moderator they get the same response.

well... i have to say the Bose Home Theater systems ARE expensive as all hell. I mean wtf.... you look at their speaker sets... and their home theaters..... and it's like a $1,000 difference. WTF? So... it's basically $1,000 for the extra reciever and remote.

 

id love to have a klipsch system. but bose will do. if anybody got some klipsch to donate, im all for that.

Well the sound quality is quite good actually, but for the same price I can recommend them far better products from Denon or Onkyo.

I saw the innards of a lot of stuff from Bose and I cringe every time just by looking at those.

No amount of convincing would let them change their minds. Just like the same infatuation some people have to a company that use a fruit as a logo

 

U should try getting them to test drive some Carver or Levinson hardware...

 

I'm sure there are multiple acronyms for many things.
