GeForce 285.27 BETA Drivers released

I was constantly getting the driver stopped working with 280.26.

 

I had this problem with one of my GTX460's had a defective GPU... it would crash the driver unless i underclocked it by ~150Mhz.

Try underclocking your GPU and see if the problem goes away... if it does I'd RMA it.

 

Ok so anyone else having problems playing hd video / raw video footage? trying to sort some fraps recordings and and they are lagging like buggery in MPC:HC were not doing this on the 280's this morning.

 

I dont think its my GPU. The driver stopped working problem was mainly happening while using firefox. I could play games for hours without any problems , but after a few hours I would get the driver stopped working error.

Also I am having trouble with my computer with two and a half months. I've narrowed it down to my PSU , Memory controller in the CPU or motherboard.

The driver stopped working problem seems to be gone so far with this driver.

HD video playback works perfectly for me.

 

Artificial? Your GPU computes every frame you know. Also it is not artificial it is synthetic which means there is no cut for sequential events. And this is the only driver that has a boost at scores for months. Also yes there are 5-10 fps increaments for games either. For a limited time I put 3dmark as it is so new.

 

There was an increased performance in 3dmark11 for me as well:

280.36;


285.27;


However, there weren't noticeable changes in Unigine Havean.

 

Yes those 3D Mark benchmark programs are artificial. They dont tell you in any way what games will play like.

 

Your A game won't tell your B game's score.

 

He means why bother testing your card with software that uses a engine that isn't used in a single game, even something like the RE5 benchmark would be far better than any version of 3D Mark.

I decide to keep a driver based on testing every game i play for 5-10mins, or when in my HTPC trying out every video codec and framerate.

Games wise this seems very nice, though i had no issues with 280.26 and i don't use Firefox anymore so can't see any benefit over the last one so far, time will tell though.

Damn that sucks... game officially comes out on 9/14, was hoping we'd have a SLI profile by now!! :bang: Hell Nadeo had a month long semi-open beta for anyone that preordered it.

 

Well the issue seems gone for me after installing these drivers.

 

Anyone tested deus ex human revolution with this drivers ?

 

I have increase ~2% in 3D Mark 11 , from 4030 to 4112

 

I did. Performance feels the same, but I wasn't paying attention to that. What I wanted to know is if the Tessellation artifacts were gone and can confirm they are.

 

i can confirm for my 460 gtx SLI that Deus Ex Human Revolution seems smoother to me and as said no artifacting but this is a SLI setup i have for anyone with SLI and wondering although i did have issues with Heaven Benchmark driver blacked screen and had to restart pc thats only issue i have had so far not worryed about a benchmark if my games work lol

 

Works perfect with World of Warcraft =)
