Anonymous claims to be a "hacktivist" group....yet, they've proven themselves no different from any other hacker group. They claimed their goal was to end world-wide government corruption, yet have shown that they care nothing about such cause. Their only concern is the same as Lolzsec's...to disrupt life and induce terror for innocent people. They're nothing but a "computer age" equivalent of Al'Qaeda... Instead of those members in the US being tried as criminals in civilian courts and facing prison sentences and fines, they should be tried in military courts for treason and executed for the terrorist acts they've committed against their own country. The same should be done in the countries of other "Anonymous" and "Lolzsec" members....they're a drain on society who's only purpose is to induce terror and should be treated accordingly.

Anon is opposed to big banking corporations. And big media. Thus they are "terrorists", since only terrorists can oppose the rich and powerful. *sigh* //Svein
It seems that very few people actually know what anonymous is. It's not an organisation. It's just a moniker. The vast majority of people who consider themselves anon, are merely spectators.

Not so sure about that matey. Afaik they were attempting to shut down services and content, some of which I use, so who the hell gave these guys the right to stop me going about my business in the usual fashion. These self-styled 'hackivists' have no mandate from the masses for this kind of activity. They are not on a crusade, they are, as I see from the pictures, a bunch of no-mark misfits with far to much time on their hands. If they spent as much time setting up and running businesses as they do trying to bring them down they would probably be ok people. As they are, they are a bunch of wankers imo.
I don't think people understand the word Anonymous. You can't unmask Anonymous, Anonymous is humanity in ever form, it's impossible to put a face to anonymous. The media is trying to define Anon, which could be a very bad thing, as anyone harmless in the future who calls them selves anonymous will get labelled with negative attributes. It may create a whole new super class of stupidity.
Most of the people the FBI have arrested were pawns using LOIC. They're not exactly ringleaders. Also, the idea that there are leaders in anon is hilarious and shows an ignorance of how the internet works. I don't support much fo what they do, but they're a distraction in a world full fo white collar criminals.
