sh!t, if we have all these people wanting to join in on bf3, i dont see why everyone cant chip in $1 or $2 a month and rent a private server. some sites have a clan pay option. ive done it before through gameservers.com a while back. never had a problem with them and the one time that i did, they were quick to fix it.

Im going to get a bit commited to this and start renting a server next week when I can afford it, Im going to need someone from the usa or canada to do one also, if it works out well over the first month I will rent a Guru of 3d bf3 server on release day also, it hopefully will be worth it for us and also for more site exposure

 

I got BC2 added to both Steam and Origin, but only installed on Steam, might switch it around to keep all EA things seperate, and also for the sake of it lol.

Need to grab myself a new mouse/kb, the wireless one i'm is ok for RPG's and SP FPS's, but its even laggier than a wireless 360 pad if your more than 3-4 feet away

 

Oh, didn't know you could register the retail key with Origin. Just did it.

 

You renting one in the uk? If you get one up and running il happily donate some cash to help, definitely need one for bf3 when its out

 

nice one mate I will keep that in mind, Ive got the kids to sort out now but when I get some time tonight I will get prices etc and some of us can bash out what we want to get and do If we do get a server who will run it? I dont really fancy it but if anyone wants to step up let me know I wil only do it if its easy, I got a website to run and I help out here a lot so dont have much time for server side bollox

 

dont blame you on that. my stepdad is in charge of a cs server that hosts lile 40 people and he has been doing it for years. he said its a pain in the butt but once its going its fairly easy to keep it running. he said clan pay is going to be the smartest thing to have but the thing to worry about is making sure people pay their fair share on time. thats his main issue. he says if they dont pay, then they are straight banned from the server until payment is made. if it happens again, then he bans them permanantly.

but if someone does host a server in the uk or europe, i dont have an issue with hopping on board. ive been on servers over there and my ping is pretty decent. so whenever someone decides somthing, let me know.

 

If you mean by running the server as in in-game adminstrating, I'm sure some of us(me included ) will gladly help you out. Same for cash donations.
