Hello peepz.. So.. i want to buy a new case since my Thermaltake armor is full of scratches and the top cover of the USB/Firewire ports broke. I want the following on a case: - Fulltower - Big window in de LEFT sidepanel (no mesh) - Good airflow - Good Cable management So far i like the Silverstone Raven RV01 and the Corsair 800D, although the last one is a little pricey.. Im still on air cooling with my Prolimatech Megahalems, but im planning to go liquid at the end of this year or beginning next year. Any suggestions?
silverstone tj07, personal favorite... also one of the best watercooling cases around HAF x is also good
Yeah i also love the TJ07-W, but i dont like the Haf X's rough looks, i'm looking for something with a stylish/luxury style, Not too much ''Gamer'' style Anyways the TJ07 is pretty old now, is it still any good these days? (post 100!!) :bigsmile:
The TJ07 is still a very good case, for water-cooling at least. So is the 800D. Ive used both, and its a difficult call between the two. The 800D probably needs less work out of the box, just screw your rad in and off you go, but the TJ has the advantage of a seperate area for the rad from the rest of the PC, where as on the 800D hot air from the rad is dumped inside the main cavity. I also think the TJ is a bit more heavy duty in terms of build quality. As far as I know there is no successor to the 800D planned atm.
Does it have to be fulltower how many drives do you have? 600T is really nice it is almost to fulltower size though technically still a mid. It has better airflow than the 800D.

Yes it has to be a fulltower since im also planning for alot of Liquid cooling in it. As for Lian-Li, ive always loved the HUGE PC-80 Armorsuit, although it has no window which is a bummer.. and i dont trust myself cutting a hole in a €300 case :bonk: I'm really looking for a Enthousiast case, but i want to keep it under €300 so the Silverstone TJ11 is no option. They make windowed versions. Or you just order a windowed side panel for it. BitFenix Colossus Window Edition. Good price and overall very nice features comparing to the rest. I'm thinking of buying it myself. And those LEDs can be turned off
I can second the HAF-X, it's pretty damn good. It's aboot £120 here in the UK, so maybe €140 for you in the netherlands. Good airflow, pretty quiet depending on PSU/GFX/CPU coolers, nice red LEDs on the front fan THAT YOU CAN TURN OFF. Not seen better cable management really on anything I've owned, can tuck everything nicely behind the mobo to keep it nice and tidy.
yea the tj07 is still goof. its an awesome case and there is little to no modding necessary. the 800d is also nice however it csn only fit a 360 rad on top and a 240 on the bottom. the tj07 can take a 480 rad and a 240 rad with no modding necessary.
Caselabs,Xigmatech Elysium,or TJ07...800d was great 1 year ago,its not so great today only being able to put a triple and a dual rad in it isnt enough for a true enthusiast to allow great cooling...800d just dont cut it for me in 2011.

while both of those are very good cases, those arent watercooling friendly without a hell of a lot of modding. op seems to be more interested in the giant watercooling cases. there are also dangerden cases that are worth a look at as well. also you can mod the top of the 800d to fit a 480 rad with only a little bit of cutting if you really like that case.
The video review of the M8 that you linked in your thread about it was very interesting IMO but there's one thing still keeping me puzzled. Why does it not have full support for fans in push pull configuration using thick rads?
