TL;DR But anyone sees irony and somewhat double standarts in whats happening? When in Lybia people protested against goverment, causing riots, UN suported them and war started. Now same in London, so whrere is your UN now?
Ok I have a question for all.....Let's say we magicly distribute all money evenly to the entire population in the UK(just taking UK but could be any country) what would happen after 10yrs, 20yrs, etc....I can bet you 99% of those rich now would again be rich and those poor would again be poor. Why? Because rich people have done what it takes to become rich, take the time to educate themselves, learn a trade, start a business, etc....and most importantly work hard. Some people that are poor do work hard but you're not going to find many rich people that are lazy. Sure you can throw out extremes like a Paris Hilton but most rich people are self made. If you're able bodied get off your butt and EARN it like those rich people have and don't expect to become rich after being a waitress or flipping burgers. And don't consider yourself poor if you can afford a big screen TV, XBOX, 2 cars, etc...
Very likely, in reality its not some romanticised Robin Hood like scenario. All the poor people i know deserve to be poor.
Yeap all they need to do is give police the powers that they used to have or need. Pepper spray(optional) tear gas(optional) Baton control Brute force without killing or maiming Give the police these and crowd control will be under control in minutes,take it away and we will see a repeat of whats happenend. Give power back to the police,schools and parents. In my day you could be disciplined properly by your parents if you got out of line. In my day you could be disciplined by school teachers to a certain extent if you got out of line. In my fathers day you could be given a clip round the ear by the police if you got out of line. I don't know the validity of the story, BUT... like criminals can't get their hands on illegal goods? The very idea that only policemen would have these bullets is ludicrous. Might as well assume everyone follows the law if that's the logic being used. Strong evidence toward them though, but it's innocent until proven guilty... right?
I stated the facts as they were known at the time. I didnt make any assumptions or draw any conclusions. Not sure what you're trying to do. If the facts trouble you too much, its probably best not to read about it.

As if they had to wait to be fired upon for it to be justified. If he was motioning to draw on the Officers, they were justified.
I just hope the whole situation settled down before it spreads to rest of Europe. Last thing we need here now is widespread civil unrest beside the financial trouble that's been hitting the globe, again.
I see no arrogance and ignorance in this thread , What i see is people from around the world posting there thoughts on the Root cause of whats happening in the UK , This is a public forum with members from all around the world , You don't like what some one has to say don't freaking reply to them , Simple as that
Some points need challenging for correctness, being off topic, to get the perspective right... Leaving some points unchallenged is almost an endorsement for less knowledgable people reading later.
Instead of bashing each other (and their countries), perhaps we should be looking at the root cause of why people everywhere seem to be spinning out of control, with no respect for anyone or anything, as indicated by riots in the U.S., Canada and all around the world. There is an underlying social disease. Analysing some of the "reality" shows that saturate the airwaves would be a good start. Like it or not; the masses are being manipulated and conditioned by the media.
