AMD Catalyst 11.7b Hotfix (8.871 June 27)

how are u running those drivers with or without 11.6 CAP 2?

 

Well the 11.4 march 23rd drivers are the ones i use and went back to using. 10.5 seem very slow. But anyways, the 11.7 are pretty good, but i am getting pausing a ton of it in the 11.7 drivers with Sonic allstar racing and Sega Rally Revo and Jericho and Split Second. Going back to the 11.4, everything is just fine. Haven't played none of the games you mention. So i am just going to keep the 11.4 install until the official whql 11.7 come out.

 

Anyone getting atikmpag.sys BSODs while using ati tray tools? I was fine before installing these drivers.

I'm not sure exactly what I'm doing wrong here, but I can't seem to get these drivers to install.

My HP laptop will default to the windows update driver from April so if I want to bypass that I have to install the 11.5b hotfix and then install 11.6, but at that point I'm stuck.

When I try the installer for 11.6b and try custom install it claims that the display driver is up to date, even if I'm going from 11.5b. Then if I try uninstalling my drivers and go directly to 11.6b, the installer goes through the motions, but nothing happens.

My current driver is 8.861.0.0
Any ideas?

 

Prob just no support for M processors yet

 

Supports my M 6310 so should be ok.

 

f1 2010 purple lights back in dx 11 and a bad glow with bright textures , plus dirt 3 texture flickering and shift 2 dark cockpits .....................back to 11.1a only driver on my 6870 worth using :bang:

The first 8.871 ist online, since 2 days, but not for Desktop :/
But Wednesday, is driver day ^^ i hope so.

 

It's the same 8.871 driver we already have, just WHQL'd for embedded.
Most likely we won't see another build of 11.7, just this driver repacked with whql certification.

So it will be. However, I also hope for a Hotfix, which fix the Overscan/scaling problem. During the last days, i send many information, to the Catalyst driver Team, to fix the problem.

 

We need these C2 CAPs - 2 x 6850 running @ 50% each struggling with C2

 

I am sure that amd will ignore ur suggestions/report and will give us another crappy driver.

 

This seem to work great on XP havn't tried Win 7 yet

 

I have a hot date with my rig tonight to get this going.

I've formatted and installed Win7 x64 and run all Winows updates, then installed Intel INF driver and then these drivers. Afterburner beta 5 gave me BSOD so I'm using the latest public relase which seems to work well. I've disabled ULPS but it still crashes occasionally, just completely locks for no reason. Once it was when coming back from when the monitor was blank after 15 minutes of inactivity.

I'll be doing it all again tonight to see if there is a common fault or if it's something I've done, then will try older Catalyst revisions, 11.4 seemed to work OK when I had it on for a couple of days and 10.5a hotfix worked like a dream last time...

 

I still have a problem with hw accelerated flash videos having a static tear line on my 5850
