Drivers seems to be alright, no issues, still testing some more games. APB Reloaded runs smooth tho.

Install over them. I did, no issues whatsoever.

I know thats easily fixed, its the high idle clocks, im pretty sure those are 2 screen clocks, which i don't have, so god knows whats up there. :p

Ill just wait for the officials, and if they are the same (which i suspect they will be), then ill just use the driver on its own, with the 11.6's CCC, as it looks like the Overdrive change, is whats done it (theres no key icon to unlock it, and the sliders are not greyed out anymore, so can be moved still, even when the Overdrive is not ticked as enabled).

If you are using any other program to control the clocks, ATItraytools, Afterburner or something else this happens because of a conflict where Overdrive was used after you had already used another program to set the clocks and Overdrive causes this to happen.

Only way to fix it is to driver clean and kill ATI entries in the registry in safe mode.

Thats the thing, ive never used anything (as i don't overclock or anything, and ive never unlocked the Overdrive), i just bang the drivers on, and thats it, so i don't know why its changing them :p

You seem to be the only guy getting this issue.
i have tested in single and xfire and not getting your issue no matter how meny times i mess with overdrive.

i currently use msi afterburner for my clocks works great i never use overdrive.

Task kill CCC & MOM, navigate to: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\ATI\ACE delete the 3 files in here, reboot.
You will loose your CCC settings/profiles, but this is how i fixed a issue like yours months ago..

Thanks, might give it a go, i take it this is after installing the 11.7's, then after the reboot, i just set my CCC settings again :)

Anyone try these on a 4870x2? 11.6 work great for me. Or the drivers remain the same for an older card? Did they quit advancing quality and other things for older cards?

After installing 11.7 preview my overclock seems to be unstable(was stable in 11.6). Do any of you guys experiencing the same problem?

I know, quoting yourself is lame...

Anyway, instability issues seem to have gone away after a clean install. Installing them over 11.6 might not be the best idea after all. With previous Catalyst drivers, this was never a problem though.

FPS in Witcher 2 seem to have gone up. Anybody noticing this as well? Btw, that game needs a build in benchmark.

As I already wrote, I did a clean install & it broke CCC permamently, even downgrading to 11.6 would not help.

    Had to "drivesweep" my system.

Now I installed 11.6 package & manually upgraded drivers to 11.7 from device manager.

CCC & anything else works, I'm currently testing 11.7 in games, seems to be OK.
