Early build of Cat 11.7 (may or may not be for users)

OpenCL performance with these has improved again (2x performance in GPU caps Viewer 4D quaternion Julia set) , even though global memory has decreased on this end. Dave

 

Think ill await a bit more feedback on these before trying them, as the 11.6's are working great, and as the old saying goes, if it aint broke....

 

Im gona wait too.. need to see somebody say that OpenGL has been fixed before i try anymore drivers.

I think I am going to install these now, I recently started getting random BSOD's with 11.6 for no reason while I'm at 2D at desktop.

 

Can someone PLEASE response if is necesary install the 11.6 caps or are included in this driver? THANK YOU.

 

seems performance is great with 11.7 preview + 11.6 cap 2
both are dated 30/06/11

To anyone who's been keeping track of the DistributedCom errors

You know I've been keeping track of a DistributedCom errors during shutdown/reboot for the past few months:

Not sure if i should switch over after 11.6 finally got installed properly.

really laggy in heroes of newerth, gonna go back to 11.6

 

Bit late to be an early build if dated the 19th id have thought.

 

Maybe what they ment for "early" is: you get it before the release date, so it's not one of first 11.7 builds, it could be the final build sent for whql. :infinity:

 

I played BC2 for 2 hours no black screens so far. tested Drift 3 and i gained 3 fps

Seems good so far.

New packagers for 11.7 installer. Includes just the 11.6 Cap2 and new Win 7 x64 HDMI audio driver (7702 vs 7701). Just extract archive into the base folder for the 11.7's, and overwrite existing files, then run install

Going back to the 11.6's as they've changed the Overdrive on these ones, had to click on an accept agreement thing before i could access it to see my temps etc..., and im idling at 60 because the idle clocks are up to 400/1000.
