    Hello,
Recently, I have decided to upgrade my pc with GTX 580 Twin Frozr 3 Lightning, with Thermaltech Element G casing, I have a 750w Delta PSU, Can my PSU support all these, I have a Core i7 870, 2.93 GHz and Intel DH55PJ motherboard. Thanks in advance, if anyone reply...

never heard of that brand of psu so guessing it's oem generic, so i would say no don't use it to power 580

Choose a well reviewed PSU by websites that know how to review PSUs.
Note I said "PSU", buying purely by brand can result in a bad purchase.

I check JonnyGuru, HardOCP - and smattering of other places (I'm an electronic engineer though so can read through the bolox).

If you must take a risk and want to buy one without knowing if its good, you're better going with a company like Corsair.

delta psus are fine..using a 500watt since 2004..right now its running a core 2 duo with a 6950..your 750watt should be more than enough for 1 580..just check the number of 12v rails and amps

As stated, dont rely on a particular brand if you can help it.
One good (or not necessarily good, but still working) PSU does not make all other PSUs good from the same mfr.

Thanks u all for helping me, now my question is, can you please ensure me, if I need more than 750w PSU for both Element G with 3 fans and GTX 580 Twin Frozr 3 lightning OC or is it ok to have 750w, as I also have core i7 with 4GB RAM.

A good 750W PSU is more than enough.

well Delta/Newton has never made junk and all of their 750W models are well built and you'd be stupid to replace it with a mere corsair

    Never seen Delta over here.
I recommend Corsair if the purchaser is lazy, as they 'generally' produce decent PSUs and have good aftercare, so if something does go wrong theres more chance of it ending well.

Glad to have your input though.

Delta is just like FSP a huge PSU manufacturer (in contrast to companies like XFX, Corsair, Bequiet...). Their products are often seen in OEM PC's and the PS3 has a Delta PSU. Even though they aren't good looking and most of them aren't efficient, they work pretty solid. Just to be sure, aabipu could you post us the name of the PSU or even make a pic of the label?

No, its a good idea to listen to Makalu (he looks to be very solid), and Alpha seems to have good knowledge too.
From what has been said so far, you may have a very good PSU already.

Thanks for quick replay, so, I'm okey with my existing PSU. It's a very good news for me, as selling and buying a new PSU is a problem for me, as Corsire is not locally available in my region (Bangladesh), so I needed to import one for me, really a pain. Thanks a lot all you guys who help me to decide.

As mentioned, you 'may' have a good psu.
See if the guys post anything specifically about your actual PSU, Alpha asked which model you have so he likely will pursue this.
Wait a while longer, you could get some solid info.

Like i said before, Delta knows how to make solid PSU's so that shouldn't be a problem in general. If you now have a look at your model you see that it can supply ~650W on the +12V rails. That's more than enough for a GTX 580. It would be stupid to get a new PSU if yours isn't older than let's say 5 years.

    Agreed.
It also has the required 8 pin and 6 pin power connectors for the gfx card so you dont need to worry about using molex converters.
(meaning you dont need to consider the loading of the 4 power rails - assuming they are separate rails, often its really only a single rail so doesnt matter).
