That pack is nothing more than some of the Crysis 1 textures being transferred to Crysis 2. Clear proof that The textures in the game are console not PC, and any better graphics on the PC is only through the engine and drivers. Why couldn't they make hi-res textures for PC, then just reduce the texture resolution so consoles can handle it? wish all game developers did this, instead of none?!
Great work, in a way it shouldn't be necesary, but it does let talented people like yourself shine, when you end up doing what the developers didn't.
Ah right, well it looks better applied than not, so until this one is finished i`ll use it, but yea, its just lazyness on their behalf
Maybe Crytek will re-do all the textures for the DX11 patch:wanker: yeah, very unlikely, proabably just re-do the ones that have tessellation on them, so thank god we have people like this with skill and patience that puts the dev's to shame.
and you still have hopes for a dx11 patch and now with improved textures? IMO crytek abandoned ship already and dont expect any changes to the pc version
We have already saw video's of the DX11 patch, looks great so far, but it appears more Nvidia funded than Crytek. Not got any hopes for high res textures though, unless they steal the mods and repackage them lol. But when it comes to textures, the best stuff is always user generated, even the original Crysis game needed lots of replacement textures.
