Ok so I got real hungry and I remember that the americans got a meal at KFC called the double down. What I would like to know is any reliable news of that product being in production and if its coming to europe any time soon? Ive already Emailed my local KFC franchise but they haven't answered and I will not call them because they would think I'm crazy. The only things I found on the net are old news pieces and that its a permanent thing in the US. So any news for us Europeans?
So? Can it be for fat Europeans too? Plus thinking about it I think I could convince plenty of healthy looking people to eat it.

Edit: KFC Isn't that good IMO, I went there once just to try it out for fun, and all the employees and 80% of the customers were black and I became a weird feeling :s Me and my friends were the only non-black there lol. And the "food" wasn't even that great to be honest, 2 of the wings or legs, whatever, had hair in them..
that's because you ordered the wrong things and went to a crappy KFC. I only buy chicken pieces and I make sure I do not order fries cuz they suck there. However this double down sounds like the ultimate chicken burgerish thing. Also I couldn't care less what you think, there are millions of people world wide that like KFC and there sure as **** will be someone here. So I do not have to take your attitude. Its not like KFC is the best food ever, I never claimed it I'm just in the mood for it, sometimes I'm in the mood for a fine piece of rear fillet with sautéed onion and bacon sauce accompanied by some home made mash seasoned with garlic pepper and topped with freshly shredded mature cheddar but other times I feel like KFC.
Some people are idiots. The double down is a greasy fat trap, even if you get it grilled. But I love the thing, it's an awesome, delicious sandwich. But guess what, I've only had the thing twice in the entirety of its existence. Same applies to almost everyone. Who cares if its fat? It's okay to enjoy something ridiculous like that every now and then. Honestly, as far as calories are concerned, its actually better than most chicken sandwiches.
They're a franchise so each is different, some of them are awful. I like the decent ones though but don't go very often.
Double down came to New Zealand about a month ago for a 5 week limited run. I tried one. It's like all other KFC meals. Greasy crap. Probably better off getting either one of their real chicken burgers or actual chicken pieces. Double down is just a greasy soggy mess.
really man? its not like the pieces? There's a local guy called 'Queens' here he makes a 'chicken fillet burger', its basically a chicken fillet, like a real one from the local produce but hes managed to get the batter of KFC on his own, he even cooks it in a pressure cooker like KFC and the awesome thing is that he charges 3 euro only for it with a massive amount of chips. Still curious of the double down.
Like someone said, it probably tastes the same. It's like with McDonalds or Burger King, all their burgers taste ****ing same lol.
I have eaten 2 of these sandwiches in one sitting. Initially I was intimidated, but they posed no threat to me. I will die of a heart attack before I'm 40.

The first Double Down I had I also ordered an A&W hamburger and inserted the beef patty into it. I wanted the chicken pieces to be buns. It was pretty good, and I've had a few since then. Definitely don't go on a regular basis though. Not that it would matter- I've got the metabolism to maintain my weight. The KFC here sucks. Always slow, get orders wrong, etc. They once told us they were out of chicken, and then moments later reported that they in fact had enough chicken to feed the whole city in the back. lolz. Yum.
