Haha, I know that drill. I have an agile (and curious) 2 and 4 year old. well if you get around to being able to increase your res, that thing will scream.

You don't get it at all.....

GPU at 100% will bottleneck the CPU
CPU at 100% will bottleneck the GPU

not true any game will use 99% of the gpu if optimised well.

    Release notes?

  8. This, the gpu at 100% doesnt mean it bottlenecks the cpu. The cpu at 100% however does bottleneck the gpu dependant on the balancing of ur rigs components.

It does nothing for Crysis2, just rename to Bioshock.
I don't know what they're doing, they had it right after 11.4 cap 1, but screwed it again from 11.5:confused:

The Witcher2 runs a little bit faster with the Dirt2/AFR combo, but it's nowhere near normal CF-scaling. So it needs a driverchange or a gamepatch to get it right.

I reckon there are at least two driver branches cycling each other.

I can't say it's something that'll hold true for everyone but I've generally found the even-numbered releases to be good and the odd-numbered ones to be rubbish. Relatively speaking that is, aside from HDMI audio being broken with my old 4870 in a few releases I've had no significant issues.

Use radeonpro and follow the instructions a dude is posting in the first page of this thread. That means, AFR-friendly D3D in Crossfire X profiles, and MVPU setting: AFR. Crossfire works pretty ok, there are no flashing textures anymore but the cockpit still remains dark.

Uncheck "enable surface format optimization" in CCC and see if it fixes the dark cockpit

boy all this time people still ask about the dark cockpit

thing is, it's still possible that the dev can fix that, there were a few reports of single nv users seeing it

To be honest, I don't really care for the dark cockpit. I don't use the in-car camera.
Tested and finished witcher 2, using the dirt 2 profile from radeonpro. Game was smooth with ultra settings, uber sampling was off, no problems whatsoever. Thanks to radeonpro, those games can utilize Crossfire at acceptable levels, even with workarounds.

    @Valken

It is not checked. But still it is dark, But as I said, no worries. Better having a dark cockpit than having flashing textures everywhere.

I have to agree with you.

That's why I always use vSync. Most games I play, not all games though, do use 50% to 60% of both GPUs when vSync is enabled (60FPS). Nevertheless, the same games do use 99% of both GPUs when vSync isn't enabled. And it makes perfect sense: why should the GPU be at 100% if it doesn't need to when rendering @ 60FPS?

yes but your aim will be crippled and slow as 60 fps! but when ur aim is 100 fps faster than anyone in the server thats +1 !

This is good thing of course, you save some power and maybe some hardware in the long run.

Problem is , 30FPS and 50% GPU use.

    RIFT Comes to my mind.

i5 750 @ 4.0 Doesnt cut it in rift, still cant max out GPU while having 40FPS.
